The Armada apartment buildings in the Paleiskwartier area of Den Bosch (also known as 's-Hertogenbosch) were designed by architect Anthony McGuirk. The south-facing façades have been designed as a climatic shield construction, to make the best use possible of the sun and daylight. At the same time, this type of construction minimizes wind turbulences and cross winds.
