I want to leave a better review but this is an honest one, 1st great hotel loads to do for the kids and the food was good. kids club was great.

The downside was the aircon it was controlled by the hotel from 1 device despite having controls in the rooms and the temperature was the same across the hotel, I get really hot at night and was too hot for me to sleep well and could not adjust the aircon we did have an issue with locals burning stuff and even if you shut the doors and windows you could smell it, the water park was amazing but again there was 2 slides out of order.
There are expeditions to do but my advices is look for deals away for the hotel as they seem quite pricy I would go there again but hopefully they would of sorted the aircon issue if I did.

Goods and bad

Lovely hotel to relax and enjoy some sun. Great food and drink, plenty of options. Staff were friendly enough. Room was ok, only down sides were the loud fridge, and can hear everything that's going on in the room next door, and the bed was uncomfy Grounds of the hotel are really well kept, the garderners do a fantastic job. Spa facilities were great. Nice to unwind in the sauna and steam room which are free to use. Pool and beach areas were excellent and there was always plenty of sunbeds.

Fantastic hotel and enjoyable holiday.

Slightly distance from anywhere, but taxis readly available.  Possibly best all-inclusive hotel in Turkey. Everything is perfect for food , service, entertainment , and activities. Would love to go back again.  Wide variety of food selection, private beach. 

Best All inclusive Hotel

The hotel is built on a garbage dump, or the garbage dump, for some reason, is situated right near the hotel. There was a horrible smell and smog on the nights of April 11th and April 12th. After the 1st night, nothing was done to prevent it from happening again; obviously, no one cares. Obviously, it is not humane to breathe in that air, and these cases can end up with a fatal result, especially for people with breathing problems. I had to leave the hotel in advance and haven't received any compensation. It was a very disappointing experience. I will not come back again, and I am not suggesting it to others.

You go with your family, pay 3600 EUR and end up at the garbage dump... This is nonsense! 

Good things: Staff is very nice and kind, helpful. The hotel is very clean. Good room service. Tasty food, good pools.

Water park not nice (I did cut my finger on the slide! POOR QUALITY! BE ATTENTIVE!)

Hotel Near Garbage Dump: Lack of Care and Safety Concerns

This was a lovely family holiday, with so much to do for our little one, we were certainly kept busy. Plenty of food and drinks within the all inclusive to suit everybody. Weather was also exceptionally warm for mid-April, so the fact the pools were cold in the morning and cool mid-day was a blessing, our little one was a prune every day, so water couldn't have been that bad!  Water parks are great and our 4 year old loved all of the slide options. 
Beach towels are provided, they give you cards that you exchange for towels every day. Plenty of shops on site too, with a small shopping area around a 5 minute (straight) walk away. 
Took a few days to get into the swing of what opened when (pool bar, main area etc), but there is a notice board with all info on it that we found on day 3. Mini disco every night at 8:30, then variety of entertainment, ones we saw were fab!
Staff are good and very quick to help should you need anything. 
We would definitely recommend for facilities, value for money, food and things to do on site!

Great value family holiday

5 out of 5. 
We went as a family holiday, first visit to Turkey and loved it, 
The rooms were always left clean and tidy thanks to the maids, 
The food was great, plenty of choice and food was available for most of the day and night. We found the bbq outside the main restaurant was the best place to eat, also the beech bar leading onto the beech, 
Most of the staff was friendly and the hotel always had things to offer. 
Entertainment was brilliant and always very lively. 
We never had to fight for sun beds and the pools wasn't over crowded and plenty there for kids. 
A very good 4* hotel and we plan on going back next year.

First of all ignore the negative reviews. 
After booking this hotel and reading so many negative reviews I was so worried I’d booked the wrong hotel and nearly cancelled, However I’m so glad I didn’t. 
We stayed from 29th March-12th April as a family of 4 with two boys 9 & 14.
Upon arrival we were greeted by reception who took our cases, check in was quick and a lady got us in a group to talk us through dinner times, towel cards etc. 
WiFi is all over the hotel which was a nice surprise as after reading the reviews we thought we would have no wifi in our rooms and we did, you even have wifi access at the beach. 
Our baggage was brought up to our room and we went straight to sleep. The only thing I will say is the beds are SO uncomfortable, they are hard and lumpy. We requested extra pillows as one wasn’t enough. The hotel could improve on getting a new mattress.
We also requested an iron which was given to us straight away.
We headed down to breakfast and there was plenty of food on offer, we always good something to eat every morning, staff work extremely hard in the restaurant. The fresh pastries are delicious. 
We tried the Turkish Al Carte on our second week and it was delicious, it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the buffet. The food in the evening again there was plenty and we always found something to eat. Baris the waiter always went above and beyond to make sure we were seated and had drinks. 
There are plenty of pools to choose from and we never had any issues getting a bed. There is so much to do for children of all ages. The waterpark with the bigger slides opened during our second week and we all had a lot of fun going down the slides. The splash park next to it and the smaller slides were open from the day we arrived and we also had a lot of fun going on those too. The pools were cold but once in you warmed up. 
The weather while we was there was very hot 27 degrees so the cool pools were welcoming. 
We chose to go to the local bazaar for our inflatables as the hotel shop is too over priced. For two lilos and an inflatable crocodile and some others bits such we paid £45 which is very reasonable.
Yes the hotel is in the middle of nowhere but there is a small village that’s a ten minute walk with shops for souvenirs and crisps etc there’s also a local migros not far from the hotel but we didn’t know about this until we were leaving.
The hotel has everything you need so we didn’t feel bothered about the location however next time we will hire a car for a couple of days so we can drive into Side & Alanya as taxi’s are very expensive being 50 euros one way. 
The animation team work so hard! 
Ozzy, Thomas and there was another man who called my husband bodybuilder that love the gym too that we really liked but we didn’t get his name!
They came round to ask us and others if we wanted to do darts, yoga, water polo, aqua gym and for the children football and volleyball. There is so much going on during the day for everyone! They don’t mither you if you’d prefer to relax. On our last day they said they were doing paintballing for the kids we were gutted we missed that.
The bar staff at the pool bar all work hard and were all friendly. 
The lifeguards all work hard keeping an eye on children making sure they use the slides safely.
The entertainment - we enjoyed the magic show and the Ramadan fest however we were so disappointed during the Ramadan fest when the belly dancers came out, we were lucky to get a seat at the front and everyone was asked to remain seated for this part of the show however everyone ran up to the stage to film the belly dancers and everyone sat at the tables couldn’t see anything, I had to get up a few times and politely ask a few people if they could crouch down so we and others surrounding could see, when the belly dancers moved so did everyone with there phones so again people at other tables were unable to see as they had crowds stood up around them. 
We didn’t watch any of the other entertainment apart from the fire show which was very disorganised, they had to tell whoever was in charge of the music when to stop the music, when to start etc. Some of the shows involved the animation team and many people said they weren’t the best entertainment and the programme is the same every week unlike other hotels where it’s changed and they have outside entertainment come in to perform. The acrobatics show again was ok but nothing to rave about. 
Between 12.30-3 the beach bar is open for lunch. They have burgers and pizzas next to the ladies who make the Gozleum. Again we always found something to eat.
The beach is beautiful however take a pair of decent shows for yourself and children as it’s full of stones towards the water and it really hurts your feet. 
We came across two stray dogs during our stay as dog owners we gave them lots of attention, the dogs are friendly and we would give them fresh drinking water in a cup and sometimes feed them, they are girls and took food off us very gently.
The hotel has cats but they don’t bother with anyone, one did scratch my son as we was walking to the pool one morning so I had to go to the local bazaar for some plasters. 
We have enjoyed our stay at Club Calimera and we plan to book for the same time next year as we had such a fantastic time. 
The hotel grounds are beautiful and all staff work so hard. We found all staff to be friendly.  
We look forward to returning next year!

Ignore the negative reviews!

We have had an excellent time! Why? The choice and quality of food has been great. We have been to many all inclusive before but this was right up there. Staff and all of the animation team have been lovely. There is so much to do at the hotel and the beach is so close. Great waterparks that cater for all ages from toddlers to adults. Taxi is needed to get anywhere but we knew that before coming although there are some local shops within 10 minutes walk. Our kids aged 5 and 9 loved it and so did we. I normally wouldn’t say ever I would go back to the same place but I would do here.

We loved it. Would definitely return!

The location is quite remote. We were aware of this while booking so booked a private transfer which took little more than an hour. Checkin was quick but no friendly welcome or even a smile. And this stayed the same every time I went to main reception for query or assistance. Especially guy named Berek if I remember, just a grumpy nod or slam the card on the desk when I asked for replacement as we got locked out. 
We stayed in the main building. Main issue which has now been fixed and my kids were happy about was wifi. There is wifi now in all areas including each room. Bathroom gives no privacy as there are no locks just obscured glass for toilets and shower. Mini fridge is stocked only on arrival which is fine as drinks are available throughout the hotel 24 hours. We arrived at 2230 and there is a late night meal service (limited) which we were grateful for. Basically you will have access to food somewhere around the hotel at least for 20 hours a day. 

Meals -
Breakfast lunch and dinner at the main restaurant is same everyday of the 10 days we stayed. They change only 2-3 dishes rest all is the same thing everyday. I am very flexible eater so not a issue for me, but my husband was bored and skipped meals everyday. Lunch is recommended at the beach bar as they have burgers and a lady who makes amazing gozelems (filled crepes) but there is always a long queue. They appreciate tips and they deserve it for their hard work. My daughter had stomach bug on day 5 (just a warning... take Imodium with you) 
Expected doner but was served on only 1 day out of 10 days. And was too salty for my liking. Desserts on the other hand were amazing.

Services- 
Bed and pillow in the room were awful. Didn't seem clean either. Not comfortable 
Hotel is kept spotless by staff. 
Drinks and alcohol is plentiful and loads of choices. 
Entertainment was good. Kids were kept occupied. 
Spa is bit pricey as you can get services half the prices in town and pick and drop from the hotel ( excursionside.com)

Shops- 
Overpriced as would expect. There is a migros shop about 10 minutes walk which is much much cheaper. Please check opening times before heading to the shop.

Customer service - 
Zilch zero .... Being in customer service industry myself for over 20 years I was shocked to see the staff has no customer service skills. This includes the main reception staff and the guest relations. Not one staff said good morning or asked about our stay when checking out. I have been to other hotels in Greece , morroco, Spain where they will welcome you in their own language at least say good morning. Even the cleaners in Greece were lovely to say good morning everyday. Maybe the staff might be different to others, but as Asians this is what we experienced. 
The staff at the bar, especially Aysegul, Can and some restaurant staff I didn't catch the name of were lovely. Restaurant staff Emre on the other hand thought would be funny to sit us on someone's else's area where he doesn't have to serve us and didn't even bother to bring the 4 chairs required. Basically pushed us into someone else. The girl with red hair was lovely and brought us chairs. 

Pools and beach - 
Plenty of lounges and every age group had pool area from toddlers to grown ups. We mainly were near the slides which was fun. The new adventurous slides just opened before we left so had a try on those too. 
Beach is a shingle beach so bring appropriate footwear especially for kids. 

Market- and transport - 
Hotel charges €10 for bus to and from town. Taxi available outside the hotel for €25 for 7 people one way. 
Bus stop is about 20 mins walk but when the bus is crowded which it usually is on market days you might not get in. 

Overall an average experience especially because of staff. Make you own judgement before booking. Personally I wouldn't go back. 

Tips :
Remember to book your a la carte restaurant (as this wasn't informed at checkin but I was aware of this option when booking the holiday) we booked the ottoman Turkish restaurant and was good. Not great but good. 

If you just want a few bits and don't want to go to the market. Walk to Ali baba shop 10 minutes away. Good prices on handbags.

Lengthy honest review

LOCATION 
The airport transfer was 60/90 mins. The hotel is set in large, well planted and well maintained grounds. It’s approx 10-15 mins walk to some local shops. 
ROOM 
Our room was in the main building and was modern and very clean. There was a double and single bed. The bathroom had a large modern shower with toiletries (except shampoo), hairdryer but the toilet door was not full size. The fridge was filled with soft drinks and 2 beers on arrival but not restocked. There were tea/coffee facilities.Free WiFi but the safe was €3 per day. 
FOOD/DRINK 
Fridges with bottled water available outside. Cocktails available (but have tasted better).   Other alcohol in generous measures. Several locations to eat during the day - restaurant, pool bar, beach bar. Gluten labels were clear. Vegetarian hot meals more limited. Salad bar extensive. Lovely desserts. Ice cream and cakes available at the pool in the afternoon. Recommend the 6 course set menu at Italian a la carte restaurant. 
POOLS/BEACH 
Several pools with plenty of sunbeds. Change towels at the spa. Lots of slides! Beach better than we expected- fine sandy shingle. An extra area of the beach is being developed. 
ENTERTAINMENT 
Entertainment team were friendly. Daytime activities included- football, volleyball, fitness, aquafit, darts. Evening entertainment included- dance show, acrobats, fantastic magic show and daily mini disco. 
STAFF 
Efficient check in. Staff work hard but not all were cheerful. Photographers were friendly but shocked to see the hotel allows a monkey to be used as a prop! Spa and hairdressers were also available. 
We would return to this lovely hotel!
