The final nine players are in the building and preparing for the final table of the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam to get underway. Leading the way is Scottish player Richard Milne, with 1,058,000, and – for now at least – he is the only player with a seven-figure stack.

Also present at the final table is Dutch TV presenter and crime journalist Alberto Stegeman (pictured above).  Earlier in the tournament he told us that he just wanted to go as deep as he could.

“To be honest, it’s my hobby and I want to focus, learn and get better,” said Stegeman, adding “And if you don’t lose, it’s not fun anymore. So of course I want to cash and go deep!”

Stegeman’s wish has been granted and the presenter of Undercover in Nederland on Dutch TV channel SBS6 is sitting on a healthy stack of 839,000.

Here is how the other players are positioned at the final table:

  1. 1 | Richard Milne | Scotland | 1,058,000
  2. 2 | Pim van Wassenberg | Netherlands | 793,000

  4. 4 | Alberto Stegeman | Netherlands | 839,000
