You cannot miss one of the most iconic symbols of La Pineda: Grup Escultòric “Pineda" a set of sculptures representing a pine grove. The 24 metre height and 130 tonne weight of the eight bronze pines, designed by artist Xavier Mariscal, add beauty to the seaside promenade and symbolise sustainability, planning and urban development. There are evening sports activities such as zumba, capoeira and body combat under the sculpture. This is a must do!

If you’re in search of a bit of privacy during your holiday in La Pineda, the northern end of the beach tends to be quieter. Every Friday in July and August there is an experimental workshop on the loggerhead turtle, which last year came to lay its eggs on the beach of La Pineda, the same place where it was born. The little ones have a great time exploring the world of the chelonians.

The beach of Prats de la Pineda, located between the last buildings in La Pineda and the port area of Tarragona, was previously occupied by farmland and is currently home to natural wetland vegetation.
