The staff is very friendly and comfortable and very careful to all the needs. It is perfectly located to reach all the squares of the city and is very close to the station. The room was very comfortable and I feel very satisfied. I learned on the site that, in addition to the rooms, the structure offers the possibility of mini-site apartments with angle cooking, really very comfortable! I'll certainly return. I strongly advise!!!

Walk to the Central Station for 10 minutes and there are many large supermarkets within 5 minutes. Walk to the core area of the main church and the seafood market for less than ten minutes. The hotel is small but clean and tidy. Hotel staff is enthusiastic. Wi-Fi signal is not good, no toothbrush, slippers. Hotel positioning is a bit problematic. But find McDonald's is there.

They helped is out when we were in a difficult situation. We had booked another B&B in the same building but when arriving in the evening they couldnt accomodate us. The hosts of Elephant smile came to our ”rescue” and arranged for us to stay at their B&B. We are so grateful for that, and the fact that the B&B turned out to be such a lovely place made it even better. The price is also very reasonable. If you stay in Catania we really recommend this place!

The hotel rooms have been beautifully renovated to an incredibly high standard. They are bright (with high and beautifully painted ceilings) and spacious, the bedlinen and towels of premium quality. The hotel is quiet and super clean, in a good location close to the centre and the sights. You get to chose your breakfast every day. The airport bus drops off less than 5 minutes walk away. I cannot recommend Ciuri di Strata enough and I would most definitely come back again.

|0.9km from city centerExcellent, we were two days with my wife, and we were welcomed by Melina and her husband Luigi, two kind, educated and very friendly people. We have been given detailed instructions that we followed the letter to make us taste the local street food, from pan with horse meat to the granites, fish restaurants, etc etc .... all azeccate. Rooms are four, all inspired by the 800 Sicilian furniture, ours called women Fernande, small but careful, small bathroom with big shower box, balcony etc ... Breakfast is served in a veranda on the terrace and is abundant And there is everything, Melina and her husband Luigi, also preparing omelets, really excellent and served with quality products. The interior structure is clean and well maintained, the outside of the palace leaves to desire but is located just a few meters from Castle Ursino and near the Duomo, and a strategic place to visit Catania. We will certainly return and I strongly advise everyone on the structure.

|0.9km from city centerDon’t get scared by the entrance : hardly visible this may surprise you. However the street address is the correct one and the best is to come once you passed the door, as for ex. the nice patio. The hotel offers modern design in a typical “boutique” type environment, all this packed in an old building which kept some of its architectural features. The design of the rooms has minimalistic decoration and layout which can be expected, except for the missing cupboard space for our clothes (had to leave them in the suitcase). We liked the spacious rooms, comfortable beds and large bathroom (wished there would be 2-3 hooks to hang our wet towels… and it takes for ever to get hot water), reversible AC (i.e. if you are cold, just set the temperature adequately), large oversized flat screen TV, excellent WIFI. Breakfast buffet was overall outstanding with fresh products, warm scrambled eggs & bacon, cheese … we just wish we had better choice of bread (the only “non sweet” choice was a brown square bread that you had to toast to enjoy). All the personnel, (reception, breakfast/restaurant and cleaning) were friendly and, when needed, helpful. For a 3 stars hotel, Habitat deserves an ”Excellent” rating.

The people staying at the hotel are quite mixed but the hotel service is attentive. The breakfast is not rich but fresh. Personally, I feel that the whole city of Catania does not have many characteristics, so it is suitable for staying during long-distance rest.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They were always available to answer our questions and help with anything we needed. The hotel's location right by the beach was perfect for us as we wanted a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the stunning sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea. Our room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our stay was dining at the hotel's restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and there was something for everyone in the family to enjoy. We especially loved the fresh seafood dishes. Overall, our stay at NH Cala degli Aragonesi was fantastic. The combination of great hospitality, excellent food, and beautiful location made it a truly memorable experience for our family. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Catania.

Parrarel to the main street. Contactless check in and check out. Good wifi connection. Dirt everywhere - dusty floors, dust in the bathroom, dirty sink and toilet. Rust in the shower. Paint peeling from the wall in the bathroom. View from the window (room nr 1). Dirty wall from coffee. Dirty coffee machine. I contacted with the customer service via WhatsApp and I was told I can try another room, which bathroom condition was disguisting as well. I decided to stay in the one I was check in already. They have told me that they have scheduled deep cleaning for winter (I was staying there in September).

The ”blackout” shutters on the window were perfect to keep out the heat, which this summer was intense. Anderson, the concierge, was amazing, incredibly knowledgeable, and speaks English as well as Italian. Breakfast was wonderful . We spent 6 days here, and took day trips to other nearby cities. The location was perfect, access to busses just across the street. Hoping to return soon!

The accommodation is in a historic building and has been perfectly renovated inside. It is spacious, clean and equipped with all comforts, which are rarely found in other places (toothbrush and toothpaste + slippers). Quiet despite being in a busy area in the evening. Very comfortable bed that allowed us to sleep soundly until morning. Ornella was really kind and professional, she advised us how to get around and the best restaurants. Always helpful and kind, she left us her cell for any eventuality. Super abundant breakfast, nothing was missing, including pistachio cream, my favorite :) Suite 35 super would recommend it to everyone!

|0.7km from city centerCAUTION. Unrecognizable from photos. Summary: very unpleasant experience - we literally ran away. First, it is located in a bad neighborhood of Catania, which is very dirty and shabby. There was nobody on site to welcome us, but piece by piece, we received silly instructions to enter the building via WhatsApp, requiring us to check our phone every other minute. The building was very old and shabby (see pictures), had a gigantic container of construction rubble in front (see pictures) and the staircase to the second floor was dirty and disgusting. Room Lavica (which they call a “standard double” room) was a shabby, old, poorly lit room, with poorly working air conditioning. Immediately, we noticed a horrible stain on a pillow (see pictures). When we asked to change the pillow - everything via WhatsApp - we were told that somebody would come to change it. They did come at one point and put another pillow in a common room on a table. Again, nobody was available to talk to. The light was very dim and flickering the whole time. The window opened a view on the shabby courtyard with horrible dirty pipes. One could literally hear everything the other person does in the bathroom, because the windows of bathroom and living room are adjacent and positively do not close. There were ants in the bathroom, which was shabby and old as well. The mattress was completely creaky and the whole bed was making noises. There were multiple smudges on the wall, and the frame of the door to the room was not properly fixed to the wall, so you can see the corridor outside (see pictures). It is likely not secure. In the room, the floor was dirty (dusty and dirty footprints - see pictures). Upon complaining, we received angry communications, trying to invalidate our very horrible experiences. For Catania, where 77 euros is a lot of money, the room was incredibly pricey and for that money one can get a beautiful room with high hygienic standards. Finally, there was no breakfast available on site, and everything they provide is a card for a business that they subcontract the breakfast to. I want to repeat that the photos on “booking” are highly deceptive, portraying an instagrammed version of this very old, dirty, and literally disgusting place. In the end, we decided to get another hotel in the city. I advise everyone not to repeat our mistake.

The host was great, anything we needed she’d help us out. We were close to everything, shops, cafes, fish market, attractions and bus stop. We had a triple room and my brother had the quad, the rooms were spacious enough and we also had a balcony, which was great. Loved having the shops right on our doorstep. Highly recommend B&B Gisira.

|1.16km from city centerOnly stayed at B&B 5 Balconi for 1 night but left a very great impression and great start to our trip around Sicily. Firstly, id like to thank Rob for his help and hospitality. We unfortunately had an issue with our rental vehicle which provided a deal of stress on the Saturday evening. However Rob was very welcoming, cool and collective and settled us in on the late evening. We also managed to leave with the B&B Keys - Rob was very understanding and we managed to post them back with no issue. Communication was great. The accommodation was very homely with great décor around. Comfy bed, nice view of the hectic Catania roads, stones throw from popular sites and an excellent breakfast. I had the Pistachio Croissant with filtered coffee which was delicious. Thank you again.

The receptionist, very kind and friendly, gave us a Catane plan and gave us good advice to walk and for the restaurants. The hotel has a design decoration and the majesty of the old palace. We have been very well sleeping because the street is relatively quiet and there is a very good double glass. Breakfast is very expensive, served as a buffet in a pleasant room. We enjoyed having fresh fruits, among other things. At our departure we could leave our luggage at the hotel to walk quietly in Catane, with our plane being in the evening. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable.

|0.54km from city centerThese rooms (not suites) are in an excellent location. 10/10 In the old building, they are all ( I think there are 6 or 7 rooms total) on the 3rd floor and luckily enough there is a private elevator especially made for the rooms. Breakfast is served in the room and they explain that it is ”Italian breakfast” meaning that it consists of one tea or coffee and one croissant or a local sweet. Served in a very small tray with no extra plates or napkins quite difficult to enjoy. The rooms are as pictured in the photos on the hotel's site. Perfect mattresses, and excellent Wi-Fi. They have given great importance to design (of which they seem to be very proud of..) which is nice but according to my personal experience has quite a few ”mistakes” which make one's stay a bit not so perfect..For example (in my room) on one side of the bed there was a big gap which was quite likely to fall in, especially at night. Also, the lighting was not enough.. Some rooms have no view at all, luckily I chose one with a view which of course was more expensive. !! The worst part is the entrance of the building which is simply ...awful and dirty . It is a sort of internal small yard as most of the old buildings in the historic center have, but this one was one of the worst. Garbage was all around and even the entrance to the private lift was in total decay. As a result, I do not find a good value-for-money relationship. P.S When I booked the room they gave me a non-refundable price which I accepted and paid since it was just a week before my arrival. 2 or 3 days later there was an explosion at the Etna volcano and the news was all around the media in my country so I thought I could postpone my trip for a couple of days. So I called them and asked, if I could change the dates to just a few days later always according to THEIR availability. They simply refused telling me that it was NOT refundable. I explained that I was NOT asking for a refund but a change of dates always according to the dates that suited THEM. But they did absolutely NOTHING not even trying to be polite. Of course not wanting to lose my money I went, but I found that not only unprofessional but also rude.!!

Attention to the smallest details, large and spacious rooms, very quiet, clean and equipped with every comfort. It even has rooms equipped with a hideaway kitchen and microwave. I was particularly impressed by the design of the showers, almost spa-like. The staff is very kind and very nice, ready to fulfill every request: without Dimitri's help I wouldn't have even been able to leave again. I will definitely come back for pleasure. Highly recommended.
