During International Women's Day, Kylie Minogue and Madonna shared a special duet. As Kylie expressed it was "a long time coming," the two pop queens made their first joint appearance on stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Decked out in cowboy boots and blingy jacket, Madonna, famously known as the "Queen of Pop", danced alongside Kylie, popularly dubbed as the "Princess of Pop". Dressed in fancy leather-pattern pants and a classy black top, Kylie performed her hit tune Can't Get You Out Of My Head and they both sang the Grammy-winning number I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.

The song is a symbol for ending a not-so-great relationship and has won its place as an LGBT+ anthem. As the crowd cheered and clapped with excitement, Madonna warmly introduced Kylie as a "very special guest" on stage.

At 65, Madonna embraced the 55 year old Australian star, letting fans witness a wonderful womens day performance.

"Now, this is what we call survival," she said. "It's a privilege for me to be up here singing with you... God bless you, never give up.", she said.

Kylie told the audiences she felt "amazing" and said the duet had not happened before as they both like to "take our time".

Writing on X, formerly Twitter, Kylie said: "Madonna It's been a long time coming! ! ! Loved being with you! ! ! ! Celebration Tour and it is now International Women's Day .... Thank you and Love Love Love."

She also shared a video of her dancing around through the crowd while wearing a T-shirt with "Madonna" written on the front.

The pop stars have both previously praised each other's work in the past despite being seen as rivals.

Boasting nine number-one albums, Kylie is the female solo artist with the third most UK chart-topping records following US singers Madonna and Taylor Swift. She was honored with a Brits global icon award at last week's ceremony and closed the show with a medley of her greatest hits.

Clad in a red latex-style dress, echoing the music video for Padam Padam, she performed that dance-pop hit before going into a black and white outfit for Can't Get You Out Of My Head and finishing in an all-white ensemble for Love At First Sight.

Madonna is currently on the North American part of her Celebration tour, which features a collection of hits from her long career. The tour was postponed last year because Madonna had to stay in intensive care due to a "serious bacterial infection." The tour finally started in London at The O2 in October.

However, the tour has had its share of problems. In January, it was reported that some fans filed a lawsuit because Madonna started her New York City concert more than two hours late.

She performed at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn for the North American part of her Celebration tour in December, which Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden attended.

Court documents say that Madonna had trouble making sure her performance started on time or was complete. They said the concert, which was supposed to start at 8:30 pm, didn't begin until between 10:45 pm and 11 pm on December 13, 2023, and ended after 1 am New York time.

Mr. Fellows and Mr. Hadden, who are represented by lawyers Richard Klass and Marcus Corwin, said that because the concert was on a Wednesday, it was hard for people to get home. The documents say "many ticketholders who attended concerts on a weeknight had to get up early to go to work and/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day" and there was limited access to public transportation or ride-sharing apps."

The Barclays Centre and Live Nation were also mentioned in the court documents. "Defendants failed to provide any notice to the ticketholders that the concerts would start much later than the start time printed on the ticket and as advertised, which resulted in the ticketholders waiting for hours," the papers say.

The documents also suggest "Madonna has a long history of arriving and starting her concerts late, sometimes several hours later" and mention her 2015 to 2016 Rebel Heart tour and her 2019 to 2020 Madame X tour.

They also mention other delays at the Barclays Centre and other stops during the Celebration tour.

Mr Fellows, who paid 155.90 US dollars (£123) for his ticket, and Mr Hadden, who bought two tickets for 292.50 US dollars (£230), have asked for a jury trial in the case. Madonna told a Las Vegas audience in 2019 that "a queen is never late" in a video she shared after a lawsuit claiming she was late.

The previous case was dismissed.
