The Church

Outside the church there was this old tomb. You can also see the remains of the Easter Fire in the distance.

Apparently this is the only church in the world dedicated to Agios Kalandionas, who is also the patron saint of the village.

Fountains

War Memorial

Pano Arodes is only a small village, but they still lost some of their young men to war. This is a lovely memorial.

Escaping Priest

I just caught the local priest as he walked down the road.

Ancient Olive Press

Behind the Church is a little park. It has some fairly typical olive-based paraphernalia as well as some swings and slides.

Souskiou Cemetery

Last spring we blogged about our visit to the abandoned village of Souskiou in the Diarizos Valley.
