Spring Arona Gran Hotel & Spa

I stopped there twice last year May and October, I am an older lady travelling by myself , the hotel was perfect for me, the whole time I was there I didnt have to go up or down one step , the layout is perfect if you have limited mobility ,there is a supermarket right oppositte the front door of the hotel, so any thing you should want is so easy to get. Outside if you want to walk along the sea front again from the Hotel it is all on the flat .The service in the Hotel wasgood all the starff were very helpful and the food was very good,I have absolutly nothing negative to say about the Hotel. I will be going agaiin this year.

We had visited this hotel in October 2019, before lockdown and loved it but promised ourselves if we returned we would pay the extra and treat our selves to UP! We were not disappointed, we loved everything about. Just a lovely, calm indulgent break. The rooms aren't the biggest we've stayed in but they were adequate and spotlessly clean. We were on half board and the food at both breakfast and dinner was lovely with plenty of choice.The only negative, and it's not major is that we would have preferred one big bed instead of 2 singles pushed together. We can't wait to return next year.

Stayed for a week in June, beautiful hotel, staff so friendly and service exceptional!! The food was delicious so much choice I ate far too much!! Bedrooms spacious and cleaned every day. I had the best holiday would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Went as a rehab holiday after being poorly, the age group for this hotel is mainly 70’s +. It suits perfectly the needs if your not wanting to leave the hotel. Overall the hotel was very clean and the room had all you needed with the exception of information! The biggest bug bear in the room and bars was no information. I understand Covid measures but there was information in the room re towels and sheets but not about checking out, or spa treatments etc. You are given paper receipts to keep when you purchase anything at the bars but what about that information being available on your tv maybe. I loved that every balcony had an awning for shade, I hated that all the sun beds by the gorgeous pools were too close together. The breakfasts were amazing, you couldn’t ask for anything it was already provided. There were a couple of maintenance issues, cracked tiles in shower and plug sockets hanging out in hallways but in all it was a beautiful place to stay. A lot of older guests were complaining about the qr codes for ordering drinks - the hotel needs to look at their clientele and get wipe down menus back. Would stop there again or even try the sister one in americas.

Nice hotel, nice clean rooms, towels changed everyday, not too sure about the beds. Balcony table and chairs dirty, dirty when we arrived and still not cleaned during our 7 night stay. Safe worked of batteries, which were cellotaped inside the safe, and batteries ran out meaning we could not access. However, quick call to reception and it was sorted within the hour. Long queues for drinks,lunch. No tea or coffee facilities in the room which I really missed, latch on sliding doors broken - lots of lovely shops and bars and just a short walk to the beach . The room we had, just a standard room, was definitely not 4 stars but all in all not too bad a by-election xx

Loved our stay. Staff friendly. Room exceeded expectations. Beautiful hotel. Would recommend this hotel for the location, pools and facilities. If I was to have any little niggle, the price of upgrading to UP is a lot when you’ve paid a lot by choosing the hotel

Really nice hotel, nice staff and everything clean, food good and a good selection for vegitarians. Only downside they scrambled the bbc channels after 6.30 I presume to get the guests to drink at bar!!!

This is our 4th stay at the Arona Gran and as ever we were not disappointed. The staff are so helpful and friendly, from the reception desk right through to the maintenance team and even gardeners, they all speak and smile as they approach. The food is top quality and the choice is amazing. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and we had a great view across the bay from the balcony which had sun loungers. The two pools were never crowded and were great to swim in. The only negative and the reason I have not awarded 5 stars is that this hotel has a serious problem with people reserving sun beds and there are more towels on the sunbeds around the pool than people. The hotel has a "no reserving sunbeds policy" allegedly but like most hotels fail dismally in enforcing this policy. I've read previous reviews which mention this problem and have read the replies from the hotel which say they have a policy. Sadly it's clear they don't seem to bother if a sunbed has a towel on it for 4 or 5 hours without anybody actually using it. We witnessed people putting towels on sunbeds at half past midnight most nights as we sat in the outside terrace bar. I suggest to cure this problem when people are checking in they are told that their towels will be removed and they will lose their 10 euro deposit. Overall great hotel and I would return. But please sort out the sunbed situation.
