Playa d'en Bossa (Platja d'en Bossa in Catalan) is one of Ibiza's most popular and lively resorts, with a fun party atmosphere both day and night. If chilling out isn't your thing, the range of activities and excursions is sure to grab your attention. Playa d'en Bossa also is a great base to discover the island with a hired car or scooter.
From Playa d'en Bossa you can also explore the beautiful coast line of Ibiza with a boat excursion - or catch a cheap ferry to Formentera. And the ultimate fun is to take part in one of the boat parties which sail from Playa d'en Bossa - meet new friends, swim in the blue sea and have a dance on the water. Shopping
A great variety of shops can be found in the resort like souvenir shops and fashion boutiques with top items including cool club and beach wear. There is also a big branch of department store la Sirena, which carries top clothing brands and a variety of trainers, souvenirs and everything you need for the beach.
Small supermarkets are everywhere and street vendors add to the lively atmosphere. A hippy market takes place every night during the summer sited along a bustling pedestrianised area in the resort's centre, opening up from late afternoon.
Restaurants
Playa d'en Bossa has an excellent choice of restaurants. Affordable eateries like burger bars, pizza joints and snack bars are great for food on the go and there are also take-away places and street booths selling quick bites like hot slices of pizza.
You'll also find grill restaurants where you can enjoy delicious freshly grilled meat or fish, hot off the coals. For those looking for food of a healthy persuasion, your needs are met too, with many places serving great vegan and vegetarian dishes.
For fans of top range cuisine, many of the resort's upscale hotel restaurants have some very good fine-dining restaurants that are open to the public too.
Clubs and bars
Clubbers love Playa d'en Bossa for the great choice of clubs and bars, for example the luxury hotel and open-air party venue that is Ushuaïa, state-of-the-art club Hï Ibiza, and SWAG, home of urban music.
The vibe is pumping and with myriad bars and night-time entertainment, Playa d'en Bossa is a clubbers' paradise. For pre-club drinks or the evenings you're not up for a club night, Playa d'en Bossa offers everything from large neon-lit music bars, sport bars with large screens for all the important sports events or celebrity-attracting lounge venues - chic, chilled and definitely fun. Outrageous to laid-back can all be found within the shortest of strolls on the gloriously warm nights.

With just a ten minute drive from the airport or Ibiza Town, Playa d'en Bossa is quite rightly one of the top summer resorts both on Ibiza and in Europe. Playa d'en Bossa is fast becoming THE place to stay on Ibiza with a fantastic choice of hotels and apartments. Many of them are perfectly situated next to its broad and sandy beach.
You will find some amazing five-star and four-star luxury hotels in the resort with ones aimed purely at party people who want to immerse themselves in the clubbing scene to quieter ones aimed at families and couples; these are mainly found at the more tranquil southern or northern ends of the beach.
If stylish and intimate is your thing, then you will find a great range of hotels, from popular chains to cool boutique hotels. Most of these have great facilities for the price and there is a good selection aimed at adults only.
If you want to save your money for clubbing rather than sleeping, there's a great choice of economically priced apartments across the entire resort. Many of these keep the party going through the day and into the night with some more tucked away, where you'll get more privacy and peace.
You could also live the dream by renting your private holiday villa on Ibiza. When travelling in a group, you might be surprised at the per-person price, as often it is very affordable.
