Royal Enfield is among the oldest motorcycle brands in the world that is still in production. Even today, the brand has a cult following in the country and around the world. We’re sure, at least once in your life, your friends have suggested travelling to the hilly north by riding there on a Royal Enfield. However, you’d be surprised to know that there are a lot of celebrities who also have a love for this English machine.

1. John Abraham - Rajputana Light Foot

One of the bikes’ John owns (and proudly flaunted on his Facebook page) is the Rajputana Light foot, which is a customised bike made by the Rajputana Customs of Jaipur. The bike is said to be inspired by the American Board Track Racer of the 1910’s and has Royal Enfield’s 350cc engine. It’s a one of its kind bike with unique frame geometry and design. The rims, the spokes, the drum brakes, the front suspension, the gas tank everything has been hand made and custom built. Even the lever brakes have such intricate detailing which is all handmade.

2. Sanju Samson -  Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

It’s been a while since we all watched cricket. So, you may remember Sanju Samson from being a part of the Men in Blue as well as Rajasthan Royals from the Indian Premier League.  He is the youngest batsman to score 1,000 runs in the IPL and so with his newly found success, the 25-year-old recently invested in a new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. This bike generates 47 bhp of power and 52 nm of torque from its 648cc engine. The double cylinder engine of Interceptor 650 has a 6 speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, the top variant of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 also has an anti-locking braking system and it weighs 202 kgs.

3. Naezy The Baa - Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

If you loved Gully Boy, then you must know that it was inspired by the life story of rapper Naezy the Baa. The rapper's a proud owner of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, he took a moment to even mention on his Instagram caption that he started with a Dio scooter.

4. Shahid Kapoor - Royal Enfield G2

While it is unclear whether Shahid Kapoor actually owns a Royal Enfield, his biggest commercial hit, Kabir Singh, sure did help boost the sales of the G2 massively. In the film, we see the actor being passionate not just about his love interest, but also about his bike. It accompanied him everywhere he went and accounted for a big portion of his swagger. In fact, the style of seating on the bike became so popular that it acquired its own name i.e. “Kabir Singh style” among bikers in Hyderabad. This motorcycle was produced in the 1950s and is now only available as second hand models.

5. Jackie Shroff - Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

In late 2019, Jackie Shroff acquired a spanking new Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 from the Brahma Motors of Pune. It has a full-chrome paint job and cost the actor ₹3.5 lakh. The bike has a 647cc, four stroke twin cylinder engine.It is capable of making 47 Bhp of peak power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The Continental GT 650 shares its mechanicals with the Interceptor 650, a slightly cheaper motorcycle that was launched along with the GT 650 in 2018.

6. Sonakshi Sinha  - Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X

Sonakshi Sinha is among those and she was spotted riding a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X in Mumbai traffic, as she made her way to Kareena Kapoor’s house. It is among the most popular models in Royal Enfield’s catalogue. The Thunderbird features a single-cylinder, air-cooled, twin-spark, 346cc engine which produces a maximum power of 19.8 bhp @ 5250 rpm and generates a maximum torque of 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

7. Varun Dhawan - Royal Enfield Bullet

Varun Dhawan is not a huge petrolhead in real life, but on screen, the actor has been seen driving the fiercest of vehicles. Even during the promotions, Dhawan rode into press conferences and interactions, with Alia Bhatt as his pillion.

Much like the dream of every 20-year-old, the Breathe actor has even took his Royal Enfield bullet on the mandatory trip to Ladakh.
