St. Anton am Arlberg

Ski resorts in Austria
When talking about the Alps, many different places probably come to mind no matter where in the world you may be at the moment. St. Anton am Arlberg is one of these places. This Austrian village has been one of the pioneers for things that we consider as must-haves at a ski resort today. The first ski club opened in 1901, the first skiing competition in the village took place in 1904 and the first ski school opened up as early as 1921! In the 1930's, Austria wasn't as much of a hot spot and many local ski instructors chose to emigrate to the US to teach Americans about skiing and to continue developing the sport in other parts of the world.

To sum it up, this is a village with impressive alpine ancestry and with strong motivation and spirit. Always at the front of the line and always the best. The village has kept its conviviality, but the ski system has to be the best and as modern as can be. The ski system today is also linked to places such as St. Christoph and Stuben.
St. Anton am Arlberg belong to Ski Arlberg.
