Located in the mountains above Grenoble at the summit of the Belledonne range, the ski resort of Chamrousse, famous for having hosted the downhill ski competitions of the 1968 Olympic Games, is split into two levels: Le Recoin (Chamrousse 1650) and La Roche Béranger (Chamrousse 1750). This popular destination with Grenoble inhabitants offers 90 km of downhill runs and 40 km of cross-country ski trails.

In the summer, the resort has numerous outdoor activities available, including hiking, mountain biking, tennis, archery, climbing, horse riding, a tree-top obstacle course, grass sledging, quad biking, fishing and paragliding.

Chamrousse

The Chamrousse station is located 30 km from Grenoble, at the tip of Belledonne. It extends over two levels Chamrousse 1650 (Nook) and Chamrousse 1750-1700 (Roche Beranger - Domaine de l'Arselle) connected by ski slopes, an area of ​​1300 hectares. The resort is built in the forest, offering an exceptional panorama overlooking Grenoble and its valley. The highlight is the Cross Chamrousse, at 2250 meters altitude.

The station was built in 1952 and hosted the Olympic Games in 1968. Historically an alp, Chamrousse is inhabited very early in the 1850s, and it is in 1892 that Henri Duhamel practice for the first time in France skiing to Chamrousse.

Chamrousse is also the summer! The mountain lets take a breath of fresh air and escape the heat at events and outdoor activities for all tastes and all budgets.
