We stayed on two occasions: once when we arrived in Istanbul and again after taking some side trips through Turkey. It did meet our needs, but just barely. On the one hand, the shower was great as was the location.
On the other hand, there were a few annoying things - not deal breakers, but annoying. First of all, we had asked for one double bed and one single. They did give us this, but the beds were all pushed together into one extra king size bed. We had to rearrange so as not to feel like the three stooges. Also there was a hair on the bed.
On the first occasion, even though we asked for a non-smoking room months before we got there, our room had an overpowering stink of stale tobacco smoke. Our requests for a solution were met by a staff member coming up and spraying the room with a perfume, which did not cover the smell of the tobacco, but made the room even worse. Finally the air conditioning did not really cool the room down to a comfortable temperature.
We could have changed hotels, but our schedule made this very difficult, so we decided to just tough it out. On our next stay, the room was better. It did not stink, and the air conditioning worked. This time we noticed that we were on a "non-smoking floor." Why we couldn't have been put there on our first trip is a mystery since we had booked months ahead of time.
On both stays, the advertised WiFi would work only sporadically.
I probably won't come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John T.New Hyde Park, NY08Oct 20, 2017
I had stayed here for about four days and was amazed by the incredible service and breakfast. This place is by far is very affordable compared to the hotels around the vicinity of Beyoglu and an amazing value. The shopping and all the sites are only a few blocks away and so is public transportation. Although the rooms a somewhat small, I didn't think it was unbearable. There was a fitness center as well as an amazingly delicious breakfast offerings all included in my room rate.

We were in Instanbul off and on for a month this summer. We stayed at the Pera Tulip numerous times. It became our home base. We could always count on its high standards and quality, besides being in a great location. The staff was so wonderful! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy! The manager(Namik) made our stay incredible! We are so thankful for his generous hospitality!
