Great romantic hotel for adults (couples) only. It is designed to cater to romance. Spa, pool, wellness, sauna and candlelight dinners every night. Guests can write their names on hearts and glue them in the hallway creating a nice fun design. The hotel is completely child-free.
The food is fantastic!!! Some of the best and most creative dinners I've had in my life (and around the world). The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly! Really fantastic service! Also the massages and facials are great! The hotel is right on the lake so we are hoping to come back in the summer. The area is very quiet and not for people looking for nightlife. There is none. To us that was a good thing.
So why only 4 stars? Here are some areas of improvement:
- the pool should be warmer
- the hotel needs a whirlpool
- the massage rooms should be a bit friendlier
- eggs to order at breakfast would be great. Eggs buried under greasy bacon is not so great when you don't like bacon
- the bar should be non-smoking. You HAVE to walk through it on the way to and from breakfast/dinner and that's not nice. There is also no separation to the lobby and therefore the cold smoke smells 'hangs' in the air
- there should be signs in the pool area reminding people to talk quietly.
All of these things are minor, however, there is one big issue: the clientele, which ties into my last point above. Some people feel the need to be loud and obnoxious all the time! People who can't shut up in the quiet area can ruin a relaxing experience. Those are the same type of people that blow their nose in the pool water. Not sure how the hotel could control that better...hopefully there is a way. I would love to come back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
