The food was delicious and the restaurant was super cute! The service was also great! We were seated very quickly without a reservation and were well taken care of. Also the complimentary apps were superb!

If you're looking for a great date night, Casita Miramar is a great choice. It has a very nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dinimg options, and best of all - great food.

Reservations are highly recommended every day of the week. They navigate you through a maze of smaller spaces, so you don't feel overcrowded despite the place being packed. We sat indoors in a candy apple red room.

They started us off with a complimentary pumpkin and plaintain soup. It sounded strange, but the depth of flavor was phenomenal. A great start. We shared croquettes (yum), skirt steak (probably the best steak we have had in Puerto Rico, highly recommended, very juicy and tender), and a side of mamposteo. The mamposteo here is one of the best we have ever had. It is so well seasoned and has nice little crispies on top.

They end the meal on a memorable note, too, with free chichaito shots! That's a local speciality, a licorice flavored shot with espresso beans floating in it. Yum. If you want the flavors of Puerto Rico in a nicer, more romantic setting, this is it.

We had an old fashioned and a rum fashioned as well, and we can confirm - the cocktails are solid. If you want to keep the date night going, there is a speakeasy nearby called La Unidad.

My fiancé and I thought this was one of the top 3 meals we've had. From start to finish, the food was mind-blowingly spectacular. What we ate:
-Complimentary soup and cod fritters: The meal started off on a great note when these were dropped off at our table before we even met our server. They were delicious, so flavorful yet not salty and whet our palates.
-Beef and cheese pastelillo and hummus with focaccia as apps: The hummus and foccacia were great and we would definitely order again, but of the two apps the pastelillo was the absolute star. The filling had such complexity, with so many flavors that somehow melded perfectly together in a super flaky pastry.
-Skirt steak: My fiancé's main was some of the most tender beef we've ever had. The smokiness with the homemade chimichurri was insanely good. Even I thought so, and I don't love steak.
-Pastelón: I didn't know what to expect, but this was a delicious Puerto Rican version of a Greek moussaka. The presentation was gorgeous, and the well seasoned beef with sweet plantain and creamy cheese combined for a burst of intense flavor in the mouth. Crispy garlic on top added a lovely crunch.
-Sides of crunchy mamposteao with white beans: We both got this as a bit of a mistake (misheard our server and thought we needed to choose sides for our mains) but what a happy mistake. These servings were huge, honestly almost main-sized. The rich and fatty chorizo, crispy garlic, and some medley of other tasty things made for one of the highlights of our meal.

Beyond the incredible meal, decor and ambience also were beautiful and vibe-y! The food was so good, though, that we would've happily eaten it in a shack. This will be a meal we think about for years to come.

My friends and I secured a reservation for a private room which provided a tranquil escape from the bustling dining area. We were offered free salad and soup, but the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the hummus, a true gem that left us craving more; a definite must-order!! As for the main courses, both the fish of the day and the chicken schnitzel earned the best reviews from my friends. We did cleaned those plates lol To cap off the evening on a sweet note, the panetela stole the show, offering a delightful combination of warm cake paired with luscious guava ice cream. Overall, a memorable dining experience marked by exceptional dishes and impeccable service!!

We were not able to make a reservation for a Wednesday night. They were completely booked so we walked in.
There was more than enough space for us. We arrived around 6:10pm and were seated within 10 mins which was great!

Street parking was decent. I believe since we weren't early parking was easy.

Our waiter was attentive and was sure to continuously check in with us. Codfish fritters was our over all favorite from all the meals. Mayo Ketchup was also pretty tasty.

We order empanada for the appetizer. When only 1 empanada came out we were a bit disappointed however it was okay.

Short rib plate was huge however we were a bit disappointed because it was a bit dry and was more of a fancy stew.

Churrasco was decent however would have preferred chimichurri.

At the end we received the night cap drink which was nice. Health. Wealth. And love.

Overall good experience and will be back.

Well third time is a charm. Casita Miramar is amazing. I have not had a bad experience. The food is delicious the servers go above and beyond. The decor is beautiful and artsy. This is our go to date night location when we are in the Old San Juan area. We love it!

This place is amazing reminds me of my grandma when she was with us leaving in a similar house near Miramar area.
After the typical Alcapurrias our waitress forgot about us, but Cristal adopted us and saved the day. I wish there are more waitresses like her, maintaining eye contact with clients. She even went far and beyond noticing we were missing the tostones, without us saying anything, she personally went to the kitchen for our missing side. Thank you Cristal. The rest is history and we will see each other again soon.

Came here on our first night in PR and really enjoyed the food! Would definitely recommend adding this to your list. Please make a reservation in advance!

My friend and I came for an early dinner and were initially seated towards the back of the restaurant. However, because the lighting was so dim, we requested to be placed towards the front of the restaurant where the lighting was much better. The waitress happily accommodated our request.

After situating ourselves at our new table, we promptly ordered the Buñuelos, Octopus Salad, and Carne Frite. We were then pleasantly surprised to receive a few complimentary items.

Plantain Soup - well-seasoned and delicious! It's just a simple soup but really enjoyed starting out the meal with this!

Fried Fish Fritter - similar to a chip? This was just okay but was enough to whet our appetites for the rest of our dinner.

Buñuelos - also just okay! Couldn't really taste the chorizo but I personally enjoy taro so I ended up eating 3 of these haha. I think I would've opted for something else though like the croquettes

Octopus Salad - 10/10 would recommend ordering this! It has plenty of octopus, which pairs nicely with the garlic aioli sauce. We finished this whole dish!

Carne Frite - unfortunately, the pork was quite dry. We did, however, enjoy the rice and beans that came with it. The rice was lightly salted and funnily enough, was one of our favorite parts of the meal

Tres Leches - 10/10 again! Omg maybe it's because we just had that dry carne Frite but this tres leches was perfectly moist and just the right amount of sweetness! Really enjoyed it and would've gone back just to pick this up to-go!

Shot - they also gave us each a complimentary shot to end the meal with! Pretty random but not complaining! The waiter explained that the three coffee beans represent: health, love, and money.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit every time I'm in Puerto Rico! It has a stunning interior with lots of plants, and the service is always quick. The cocktail list is impressive, and I always want to try as many as possible. I ordered the sangria, and it was fresh and delicious.

We started with some soup, which was flavorful and the perfect way to start our meal. I ordered the ensalada verde con pollo, and it was one of the best salads I've ever had! All ingredients were fresh, and the serving size was huge! We ended our meal with some cortaditos, which were perfect. I'll definitely be back again-- make sure you make a reservation!
