Our Carnival was initially inspired by the carnival in the city of Luzern in Switzerland which also stands out, like ours, for the fact that it is organized by volunteers of all ages. The families of Platja d’Aro work hard to have floats and troupes ready, costumes and dance choreography! Nothing is enough to encourage the population with the aim of getting one of the prizes of the different categories with which floats and troupes are awarded in Platja d’Aro.

As every year the Carnival begins on Friday night in Sant Feliu de Guíxols and the following day Saturday afternoon is the Great Parade of the Platja d’Aro Carnival and on Sunday morning there is a Parade in the morning in Castell d’ Aro and in the afternoon in Santa Cristina de Aro.
