- Growing conditionsWell drained soils in drier forests. Frost tolerant. Full sun to semi shade.
- Garden useAn attractive garden plant. The local forms need pruning to maintain a bushy shape and will be more open in shaded positions. Popular with nectar-seeking birds. Many forms are available commercially but hybridisation will occur with local populations.
- Commercially availableAustralian plant & indigenous nurseries. Plants in general nurseries rarely local.
- Conservation statusLocally common within its preferred growing conditions
- Related speciesCorrea reflexa var. lobata is similar but occurs in moister mountain forests. Differs in that plants may be more erect, flowers do not always have clasping leaves & calyx has long triangular lobes. Correa reflexa x glabra occurs in several sites in the Shire but these may be hybrids with garden populations of Correa glabra (which does not occur naturally in the Shire).
