Adriana Lima has responded to cruel trolls who accused her of undergoing cosmetic surgery earlier this week.

The supermodel’s appearance was criticised online after she attended The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes premiere in Los Angeles on Monday with her boyfriend Andre Lemmers and her daughters Sienna and Valentina, who she shares with ex-husband Marko Jarić.

They were also joined by Lemmers’ two children, Miah and Lupo.

Following Lima’s red carpet appearance, some speculated online that she had undergone a “facelift”, claiming there was “clear swelling in certain areas compared to others”.Now in response to the unfounded claims, the former Victoria’s Secret model took to her Instagram Story to silence the critics and address the negative comments, pointing out that she is a busy mother.

Sharing a make-up free selfie, she wrote: “This is the face of a tired mom of one teenage girl, two pre-teens, one active boy, a one-year-old learning to walk, and three dogs... thanks for your concern.”

After calling out the trolls, Lima was inundated with support, with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say she spoke about the “reality of a mother’s life”.

One fan shared: “I think it’s really brave of her to be so honest and open about her insecurities, because it’s something that so many women struggle with, especially after having a baby.

“It’s refreshing to see someone in the spotlight admitting that they have to work on accepting themselves and their bodies.

“And her point about age and how your body reacts differently as you get older is so true – it’s a natural part of life and something that everyone goes through, but it’s still a difficult adjustment for many people.

“I hope her message helps other women feel less alone in their own struggles with body acceptance and self-love.”

“Adriana Lima’s response to criticisms about her face reflects the reality of a mother’s life, juggling the responsibilities of raising children and managing a household,” another added.

“Her gratitude for the concern adds a touch of grace to her acknowledgment of the challenges she faces.”
