This 16th century fortress was built to defend against pirate attacks and it is a fabulous place to explore. It also provides a wonderful vantage point for excellent views over Cesme so make sure you take your camera. A famous local dish you might like to try is Kumru which is a warm sandwich made with local bread, filled with grilled cheese, tomatoes, salami and Turkish sausage. A vegetarian option with green peppers is also offered.
