LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The old Kirkly Hotel on Candlers Mountain Road now has a new name and look.

After undergoing a $7.2 million renovation, the vision of Bella Vista Hotel and Suites was brought to life, and doors opened on Friday, March 3. The five-story hotel has 83 rooms and 45 suites. Its units include King and Queen-sized beds with updated furnishing, flooring, and fixtures. Some of Bella Vista’s rooms have been converted into suites featuring a full kitchen and living room.

Not only did each room get a unique look, but the property’s lobby and amenities were also redesigned. The entrance and lounge area now have luxurious furnishings and new decor was added to the swimming pool, patio, and fitness center.

Bella Vista is inspired by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the vibrant palette of its sunsets. The new style of the remodel blends the comfort of French Country furnishings with the lavishness of Contemporary Chic design,”

said Vickie Runk, owner and operator of Bella Vista Hotel & Suites.

Bella Vista Hotel and Suites’ industrial kitchen complex is still under renovation but is being transformed into an upscale restaurant with private dining spaces featuring locally made furniture.

In addition to its amenities, the hotel offers a free airport shuttle for guests traveling from the Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH), special event and meeting spaces, and a grand ballroom, for business and special events.

The Director of Marketing, Micheal King says a 1,400-square-foot bridal suite is in development to accommodate weddings and special occasions at the hotel.
