The drummer of teen-band Tokio Hotel, Gustav Schaefer, was rushed to a hospital in his hometown of Magdeburg, Germany, after he was involved in a brawl at a nightclub. According to media reports, the 20-year-old sustained injuries to his head after an individual hit him with glass bottles.

According to German newspaper Bild, the individual verbally abused and then physically attacked the musician.
The 20-year-old drummer sustained a two to three centimeter gash to the back of his head which had to be treated at a local hospital. “His laceration was immediately sewn,” band manager David Jost told Bild.

The police could not say what caused the incident at 4:10am at the nightclub, however they are investigating the case, a spokesperson told WELT ONLINE. Schaefer has pressed criminal charges against the individual.
The band had recently made headlines after an incident in which another member of Tokio Hotel allegedly assaulted female fans.
