Like many young girls, Dorothy Gale was curious of many things. Today, she had her favorite place on mind; The Land of Oz.

"Oh, how I miss Oz, Toto! Wouldn't it be lovely to return one day?", Dorothy asked as she laid across her bed. Toto sniffed the young girl, tilting his head a bit. "It was just so beautiful! I loved every last thing about it! I especially loved the Yellow Brick Road song!

"Follow the yellow brick road! Follow the yellow brick road! Follow follow follow-"

Dorothy cut herself off.

"Hey, I just remembered. There was also a red brick road...What happens when you follow that?"

Auntie Em suddenly slammed the bedroom door open, having Toto start barking. "Dorothy! What do you think you're doing? You have chores to do!", the elder woman shouted, hands on hips. "Oh, terribly sorry, Auntie Em. I was just thinking about Oz!", Dorothy said with a smile.

"Oh, Oz Oz Oz! Is that all you think about? It was a dream, Dorothy!", Auntie Em said in frustration. "But it felt so real!", Dorothy stated. "Well, you better stop dilly dallying and go clean the chicken coop!", the aunt commanded, pointing to the doorway.

Dorothy skipped outside, Toto following her behind. She still had many thoughts of Oz. However, she was really curious of that red brick road's path.

"Afternoon, Dorothy!", a voice said. Dorothy stopped in her tracks and looked up, noticing her Uncle Henry's friend, Zeke, was speaking to her. "Oh, hello, Zeke.", the young girl greeted, having a sigh in her tone. "Is something the matter?", Zeke asked.

Feeling down, Dorothy decided that chatting would cheer her up. "Oh, Zeke. I'm just so curious. When I went to Oz, there were two roads. A yellow bricked one and a red bricked one. I was told to follow the yellow brick one. I was never told where the red one went."

Zeke scratched his head, trying to think of a response. "Well, Dorothy. Wasn't Oz a dream?", he asked.

Dorothy grew frustrated. "No no! It had to be real! It felt so real!", she replied. "I saw everything and it was beautiful! I must go back one day and see where that red brick road leads to!"

Feeling confused, Zeke walked off. Dorothy tried to think of what to do. Noticing a broom, an idea hatched into her brain. "That's it, Toto!"

Dorothy grabbed the broom and happily cheered. "Don't you see, Toto? The nasty wicked witch was able to fly to Oz on her broom stick! That's what we have to do!"

The next you knew, young Dorothy Gale was standing on the top of her house's roof. How exactly did she get up there? She took her Uncle Henry's ladder and went on from there. Sitting on the broom, Toto in one arm and the other in the broom, Dorothy proceeded to take a few steps back. "Here we go, Toto!" The girl ran forward and jumped off the roof. "To Oz!"

SLAM!

Dorothy ended up landing face first into the ground. She really thought that broom would fly.

Before feeling disappointed, Dorothy felt a hard object in her face. She carefully pulled it out and examined it. "A yellow brick?", she said in confusion.

Rubbing her eyes, color filled the girl's eyes. She was actually in Oz. "Toto! We made it! We're in Oz!" Toto sniffed around, then barked as he noticed familiar figures.

The munchkins were here. "Dorothy! You've returned!", the mayor of Munchkin Land greeted. "Hello, there, sir! It is lovely to have returned!", Dorothy said with a smile. "What brings you here so suddenly", a young munchkin asked. "Oh, it's because I wish to follow the red brick road! I'm excited to see what it brings!", Dorothy replied.

Many munchkins gasped, one nearly fainting. "Are you crazy, woman? The red brick road is dangerous!", the mayor shouted. "The last man that followed that road...well let's just say he never made it home for dinner!"

"Oh, that's silly! It will be perfectly fine. See you then!", Dorothy said, shrugging off the words she was told. The munchkins sighed.

Ever so happily, Dorothy skipped down the red brick road, Toto following. The girl wasn't sure what there was to worry about. It looked exactly the same as the yellow brick road. Just with red bricks. "Those munchkins worry too much! I'll be fine!"

Taking a left turn, the walk down the red brick road was interrupted by cockroaches. They weren't any normal cockroaches though. These little guys were Killer Cockroaches! They had bandannas and little rock pellet guns.

"Well, hello there. Terribly sorry for almost bumping into you. I need to get by, please.", Dorothy stated.

The cockroaches glared and pointed their guns. "Give us yo money!", the leader of the cockroaches shouted. "Excuse me?", Dorothy asked. "I said give us yo money!", the leader replied. "Oh dear, I am sorry but I do not have any money at the moment.", Dorothy said in a sorrow tone. "I said give us yo money, you whore!", the leader yelled.

Dorothy wasn't sure what to do. "Well, if you excuse me, I'll be on my way- ahhh!" The cockroaches immediately lifted the young girl and threw her away. She ended up landing into the bricks, having her pull a red brick from her face.

"Well, that was unexpected. Perhaps the little ones were just confused." Toto walked over to Dorothy, not a scratch nor mark on him. The cockroaches were truly an odd experience.

As soon as she got up, Dorothy walked down the red brick road further, only to hear distant buzzing. "What's that noise, Toto?" Before she could take another step, Dorothy came face to face with nature's honey loving insects.

"A swarm of bees?", Dorothy shouted in fear. "Run, Toto!" The girl and her dog ran off, however the bees were fast. Toto luckily found a shrub to hide in, while the bees continuously stung Dorothy. She ended up having a puffy face as a result.

"Okay. There's cockroaches and bees. It can't get any worse, right?", Dorothy said, her speech a bit spitty from the bee stings. "Let's move on."

All of a sudden, the ground started to shake. "What on earth?" Before she could run, Dorothy ended up getting trampled by a stampede of rhinos. "Ow ow oh oh ow ow oh oh oh ow owch!"

When the rhinos cleared, Toto walked over to Dorothy and licked her face. "How can this get any worse?", Dorothy asked. Suddenly a cinder block fell onto her. "A cinder block?" Then a piano crushed her, having a loud bang noise be audible. Toto watched in awe. "What's next? A volcano?" Dorothy ended up regretting her question on account a huge volcano that came out of nowhere, erupted and blew hot lava all over her.

Dorothy nearly flipped out. "That's it! We're going home!", she yelled. The girl went through too much. She had bruises, scratches, stings, and scrapes. The girl was a mess. "Come on, Toto! Forget the red brick road!"

As the girl tried to get up and grab her dog, a magical bubble came out of nowhere. It thankfully was Glinda. "Dorothy, what in the name of the wizard has happened to you?", the good witch asked. Dorothy looked up at Glinda, looking angry.

"What happened to me? What happened to me? All I did was go down the red brick road and I deal with cockroaches with bad attitudes, a swarm of bees, homicidal rhinos, some outdated and over referenced looney tunes gags, and a freaking volcano!"

Dorothy was close to screaming.

"Why? Oh why is the red brick road so deadly? Please tell me why!"

Glinda chuckled and let out a happy smile. "Oh, Dorothy. The red brick road is brutal for only one reason."

"What reason?", Dorothy yelled, causing the ground to shake.

Glinda smiled more and took Dorothy's hand to help her up. "It's so everyone stays away from my home!", the good witch replied, having a proud grin.

Dorothy ended up giving an "Are you serious" face while a sad trombone played. An iris out closed the screen.

That's all, Folks!
