Thymeleaf veronica is a slow growing, but long-lived mat-forming plant. The minute, leathery leaves are evergreen. In spring, the plant is covered with hundreds of tiny, blue flowers.
Since this plant is a slow grower, it works well in rock gardens or planted between flagstone steps. It doesn't spread vigorously enough to cover large areas of soil.
It has been a good choice for the rock garden at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden, but is too slow growing for a spreading groundcover.
None generally needed. Rake off debris after winter, if needed.
