Lytsewierrum consists of 11 houses, one farmhouse, and a church. There are three national monuments. Twenty-two people call this village home. Small but charming. Due to this tight-knit community, the village holds a wealth of (historical) stories about the village itself and its residents. Lytsewierrum also proudly displays its own coat of arms and flag, symbolizing the local identity and history of the village.
At the crossroads on the road leading to the village, there is a sign with the inscription 'Alleen naar Lutkewierrum' (Only to Lutkewierrum). Lytsewierrum is located 7km north of Sneek.
