Aster nemoralis is a northern species entering eastern Upper Michigan, but not known from Wisconsin. The number of flower heads per plant is small (1-few) and the ray flowers are pale pink and proportionally large in comparison to the leaves. The habitat is wet and sunny, in bogs, fens and shoreline habitats.
