Is "couch-jumping" in the dictionary yet?

If not, it should be because it is awesome, duh.

Hard to believe, but it's been nine years since the term entered the zeitgeist thanks to a crazy-in-love Tom Cruise.

Yep, it was on May 23, 2005, that Tommy Boy professed his adoration for then-girlfriend Katie Holmes with a jaw-dropping sequence of leaps onto Oprah Winfrey's famous butter-yellow leather couch.

Since then, Tom and Oprah have managed to have more normal interactions over the years. Well, mostly.
