As far back as he can remember, Ryan Witry has always wanted to work in television. Ryan joined the Eyewitness News team in December 2019 after graduating from DePaul University in Chicago with degrees in journalism and public relations & advertising.
At DePaul, Ryan served as a sports anchor and reporter for Good Day DePaul, the student-run newscast of the university. He also served as the general manager for Radio DePaul Sports, the student-run sports radio station of the university.
In the past, Ryan completed internships at WTTW-TV and NBC Sports Chicago. In his free time, Ryan particularly enjoys listening to Steely Dan, the Clash, and Bruce Springsteen or watching his favorite TV show, the Amazing Race. He’s also an avid supporter of a number of sports teams including the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Fire, Liverpool FC, and Celtic FC, among others.
