We would like to share our experience about the hotel Lambros in Kokkari, Samos. We knew it was a bit outdated, no problem. The description stated that there would be air conditioning, which was not available in the bedroom. We also used the other room as a bedroom and for privacy reasons we wanted to close the connecting door. This means that in the bedroom the temperature rose very quickly. The first night we opened the windows, but without screens you were completely stabbed. We asked one of the owner's sons at the reception if they could help us with a fan. No, was the direct and customer-unfriendly answer. Then we called in TUI and the hostesses were kind enough to call the hotel first, but that also ended in a hard NO. Then the TUI hostesses arranged a fan for us, which we paid for ourselves, no problem. The owner spoke to us and thought it was strange that we had not come to them first. We would have. We explained the situation that we wanted to close the connecting door and asked again if she could help us with a fan, the answer was direct and customer-unfriendly, NO, just open the window and buy an anti-mosquito stuff. No option. But we had a fan that night thanks to the help of the hostesses….TOP. Under our bedroom, one of the owner's sons slept in his room and he thought it necessary to start renovating things around 9 o'clock on Sunday morning and hammer it hard so that we sat straight up in our bed. With this we want to indicate that the stories of hospitable and helpful owner and family are not recognized by us at all and we would certainly not recommend this hotel to others. For the rest, our holiday has been great and enjoyed it very much.
