Our days in Malta were amazing, especially thanks to Marriott Malta welcoming.The hotel opened its doors for the first time a few weeks ago and we were so excited to be some of the first guests to stay there.
Everything was amazing! The rooms so clean and modern, the breakfast buffet and the restaurant menu had only quality food. Our dinner at le 7th restaurant was a blast. The staff was super kind and the atmosphere so comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to be back already.

Great property. Friendly staff. Taro employs the (recognized) best bartender in Europe. The sandy beach across from hotel is conveniently located but a bit dirty. Hotel has 2 pools and free wifi.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Malta lovely place lots to see and do. The staff at this hotel made the holiday complete very welcoming when you arrive they could not do enough for you from management - to bar staff - restaurant - breakfast room - pool area. The facilities at Le Meridien are very good it’s clean the rooms are good and well equipped and there is plenty of spaces to sit and have a quiet drink or meal. Great Hotel, Great Staff, Superb SPA with amazing therapists.
We tried one restaurant but we were not convinced (slow service and so-so food). Chicken salad had very dry chicken, dressing was not Caesar as mentioned. Pizza was fine, but not the best and burger was lacking taste. Staff is very friendly (even if slow).
We will try the other restaurants of the hotel later hoping it will help me have a better rating.
Bad luck for us is the fact that the room next to us was under renovation. They paid enough attention to not make too much noise, which we thank them for !!!! Renovation is needed regularly so we fully understand.
View from the terrace is amazing. The bay in front of us... Great! They are revamping the beach across the street. So it does not look so nice day time, but it will for sure!

The fact that the rooms are a little tired became of second importance since guest relations was wonderful. The check in was nice and was offered a welcome drink with refreshing towels.

The room was incredibly clean. The view on the 10th floor is breath taking you can see the pictures I took and confirm yourself.

We than had dinner at taro restaurant : the menu is a little limited but the food was very good and once again also the service

Breakfast at the scirocco was also very nice and same thing exactly customer service was very nice and efficiant.

I would definitely recommend this hotel it has been a wonderful experience thanks to all the stuff working their that made it so special.

This would have been a 5 star rating had the hotel not booked a boisterous party on the floor right above where we were staying our last night. When you have to get up early for a flight listening to techno, yelling, and scraping chairs is the last thing you want to do. Don’t stay on the 11th floor on Saturday nights.

Superb hotel! Stayed for 10 nights and every one of them was a pleasure. Extremely attentive and friendly staff could not be more helpful. Spacious rooms with all the usual facilities are will maintained and spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and there was an excellent selection of fresh seafood each day.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Can't think of anything that I would improve. From the minute we arrived to check in the service was impeccable. Friendly, efficient staff greeted us. The room was lovely. Spacious and spotless, comfortable bed , spacious wardrobes, brilliant bathroom. We were lucky enough to have a sea view with a great balcony to sit on and enjoy it. Tea and coffee facilities and a TV wirh numerous channels just added to our comfort. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice and even a chef for orders of eggs and pancakes and omelette. The staff are well trained, efficient but genuinely interested in doing a good job. The spa facility is just amazing and luxurious. A real bonus for guests. Didn't use the rooftop pool because still a bit chilly for us but again a really lovely setting for relaxing. The location for the locality was just right for us. Thoroughly recommend. Well done to all concerned.

Le Meridien is a perfectly located hotel in the popular area of St Julians, the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff more than helpful, the cocktails and restaurant superb..what more could you want in a hotel!

Really nice hotel, lovely room. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of keeping our room and bathroom clean and tidy. The ice machine wasn't working on our floor so the hotel brought us a big bucket of ice within 5 minutes. We had a rear facing balcony which looked out over the public car park onto terraced fields. You could hear the church bells, chickens and birdsong on a morning which was nice. The hotel is a little tricky to find at night. From the main St Julian's bay road (George Borg?) turn in at the City of London pub then turn left up a steep road that currently looks like a building site. This takes you to the third floor reception but there is a public car park. The hotel provides free underground parking underneath it. But be warned, if you are arriving after midnight, that the level zero entrance, where the carpark lift and steps come out, is locked and you can't get in without a room key. Staff ignored us pressing the button, so we ended up tailgating another guest. It wasn't an ideal welcome and the hotel could usefully post instructions for how new guests are supposed to get in for the first time. We also didn't get a particularly friendly welcome at reception although check-in was adequate. What was the food like? No idea. The breakfast at 25 euros is ridiculously expensive, even many business travellers will find it above their expenses limits, and a special menu of 55 or 60 euros per person on Easter Sunday with unlimited wine/water didn't seem that special especially for a non-drinker. Having said that there must be 150+ places to eat in St Julian's. Would I stay again? Definitely yes, but if it was the same price, I would probably stay at the Hilton St Julian's as it is more in the heart of the busy areas I liked, although Le Meridien does have the advantage of being in a much quieter neighbourhood. Driving around Malta and St Julian's I'd recommend Google maps as the one traveller necessity. Vodafone and GPS satellite coverage was great combined with google's downloaded maps feature. We found our way around the maze of back roads brilliantly. We found routes to our hotel you would never have guessed without it, saving time and petrol. With Google maps, driving was a pleasure, but would have been a nightmare without it. So thanks Google maps.

Lovely place. Great stuff, especially receptionists and porters. Room is superb, all of them with balcony for drinking coffee and relaxing in the morning. Breakfast buffet unbelievable, full of things for all your needs. 5 minutes walk away from Balluta bay and a vast variety of restaurants and pubs (all of them with sea view). Very happy weekend with my girlfriend and we'll certainly come back again.

Good location. Free parking. Very tired room even though it was supposed to be a suprerior room. Service and facilities are worth the Meridien name. However the room reminds a hotel apartment rather than a typical Let Meridiem. Would I revisit? No as I have been to better hotels in Malta.

We've organized a conference here, sales department was semi flexible, they've charged us for the smallest things, rooms weren't set exactly as we asked for. However, introducing changes with technical people was very comfortable and quick. Conference rooms didn't have windows and it wasn't easy to set right temperature. Photo presents view from the terrace, which was really relaxing :)

I compare this hotel with the typical Massimo Dutti store, it's class all the way. When I think about this hotel, the swimming pool on the rooftop and the great buffets are the first things that pop into my head. I've added a photo to show the large choice of desserts :) Would be a no-brainer for me to choose this hotel again!

Good location, great service, comfortable room, fantastic view. A little maintenance required, missing green choice tag, etc... Excellent friendly staff.

Greatest hotel and friendly staff. Good breakfast as well - always a winning with an omelette bar! Room service was inconsistencies as some times we wouldn't get water and other times no soap etc but it was always easy to call diwn to get it.

Beautiful hotel and amenities. The customer service was exceptional especially Henry and Mario. Some tourists above our room were excessively noisy so we made a complaint and they fixed the issue no problems immediately. The day spa was glorious well worth the money we spent. I would definately stay here again. Best hotel of our 3 week trip.

This was an awesome hotel. We've been to Malta a few times to visit friends and this is the best accommodation we have found. Worth every penny (since it's a little more expensive than surrounding hotels). The spa treatments were amazing and really started our holiday off the way we wanted/needed. There is a roof top pool with a view and a short walk to a great swimming area (steps from rocks). The front of house and waiting staff were excellent. The food was fabulous in the hotel and there are great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel also have whatsapp chat which was useful for general questions before, during and after our stay. Their response to emails was also rapid. For us this was a little bit of luxury and it made 5 nights of holiday feel like 7 - We were so well rested and cared for while we were there. We will definitely visit again. Thank-you Le Meridien!

Fantastic hotel. Service was excellent and the room was lovely. It's located right by the sea so to get to the beach is within a five minute walk, and is also close to many restaurants and cafés. Didn't get breakfast at the hotel or eat at any of their restaurants. However we did visit the bar and the drinks selection was interesting and good, staff were friendly although service is not rapid. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel. Fantastic bar. Lovely pools. One of which is accessible to wheelchair users with a pool lift/seat. The rooms are brilliant too some with lovely sea views. There are two restaurants in the hotel, neither of which we visited, however they both look excellent. Would I come here again? Definitely.

A nice hotel in front of Balluta Bay. Many services to choose for. The breakfast at the Scirocco Restaurant is divine. Includes spa, underground and anothet outdoot parking amongst others.

Overall good place to stay but...
The staff is very friendly and try to help at all occasions. The room are good but a bit dated. The room cleaning needs some attention, not much.

Pool is just great. I would only ask the hotel not to over charge for ice cream. Those prices are outrageous.

We stayed for 7 nights. A high class hotel. If possible, select a room with view to Balluta Bay – it's a great view. Excellent breakfast, roof pool with nice bar service, fantastic spa and gym.

Just returned from 10 days at this first-rate hotel. The first seven with a Tour Company with a rear room overlooking Car Park with excellent facilities. The next three days upgraded to a Junior Suite on the 11th.floor with super sea views. We found the housekeeping excellent, the food good but not excellent, but little else to find fault with. What really makes this hotel special is the superb staff. From multi countries every member we met was helpful, friendly and did everything with a smile. The best we have encountered in many years of world-wide travel.

Excellent hotel, great view and nice food. Staff are super helpful. Rooms are clean, but a little dark for asians. The one problem is with the elevator. They are using a new system, but i had trouble touching the buttons, and more often, i touched the wrong floor.

Very clean, comfortable, and beautiful hotel. Staff was friendly and professional. Although the hotel is not right on the water you still have a very good views of the ocean. I really enjoyed my stay and I would stay there again.

This is my "Home away from home" on Malta. From the fantastic reception to the stunning view from the room, this hotel has it all. The service is outstanding and the staff always ready to help. It is my perfect match between business and leisure.

It's a very big hotel with long corridors. Rooms are alright, but some rooms are with a view on the wall and we had to pay a lot more to get a room with a sea-view and it was not a hight season. The restaurant on the bottom floor is very nice. The breakfast is very good.

"Pricey but nicey". Was here for business on very short 24 hour trips to the island. Great facilities, quiet and comfortable rooms, some with wonderful views over the bay and with nice little balconies (expect to pay more, had a "free" upgrade). Huge breakfast restaurant, no queues, nice bar-restaurant too. Great staff. Very convenient for the locality, in short walking distance or taxi ride of many restaurants and shops. Right on Balluta bay.

Very good hotel overlooking the embankment of the sea. Great service and very close to public transportation and various shops. For the center you need to ride the bus for about seven stops.

Room was large and comfortable with an absolutely amazing view of the ocean.
Buffet breakfast is great with an omelette station and juicers.
Concierge could definitely be improved as the staff who man it aren't knowledgeable, they only read off of one companies brochure.

Very spacious room and a great gym on the 2nd Floor. Hotel is in great spot to get to the night life or the beach during the day. A particular thank you to Gerald Xuereb, Front Office Manager, for his professionalism and customer care during our stay.

I lived different hotel in Malta for working purpose but, for me, Le Meridien is the best place in Malta, the location in Sliema (best bay in town), the room level and also the breakfast is defenely the best in Malta.

Fantastic holiday at this hotel with some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Rooftop pool was impressive if sometimes crowded, with the spa pool available if the best became you much.

We stayed in a standard double room, which was a generous size.
There were ice machines in the hallways which was handy.
There is a nice large spa area and a small rooftop pool.
There was a vast choice for breakfast, the coffee being especially tasty.
The hotel is in a good location to explore the bay.

I don't think this hotel deserves its 5 star rating. It's not terrible, but it's not a comfortable place to be right now (I'm typing this from my room). The 'air conditioning' is a hotel-wide system, and right now (mid March) it's set to heating rather than cooling. The room is too warm for my tastes. The only way to cool it is to leave the door to the balcony open and hope nobody wanders in during the night.

Unfortunately for me, there's a concert going on somewhere near by. It's noisy and getting noisier. This and other niggles have left me wishing I'd booked the Hilton instead.

One of the reasons we chose this Hotel was for the spa, but on arrival we discovered it's closed. Happily it opens tomorrow.

Great spot, the hotel is ideally placed between St Julians and Sliema
Bus access very close with lines to La Valetta or heading north
Rooms are large with shower + bathroom and a small balcony with a small table and two chairs, no free wifi in the rooms (!), tap water has a strong taste of chlorine
Only choose the rooms with sea view or you will end up looking at the car park
Pool is on the top of the building (except all the pool nozzles are not working), too bad it closes at 7pm.
Spa (indoor pool) is nice but often crowded, sauna and steam were working partially, and the steam could use some serious cleanup.

Stayed here for a week in november 2010.
It was a great experience, they were able to satisfy off-the-menu requests for in-room dining.
Spa was great, very good staff.
