Peter Andre confirms his reality show is returning with wife Emily and children Junior and Princess

PETER Andre is bringing back his fly on the wall reality TV show as son Junior launches his music career - nearly ten years after it ended.

Pete, 49, who is currently starring in the West End adaptation of Grease: The Musical, will allow the cameras back into his family and work life later this year.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, he was keeping tight-lipped as to the exact details of the new series, and what channel it will be on.

But confirmed that his doctor wife Emily MacDonagh, 32, son Junior, 16, and daughter Princess, 14, will all star in the new show.

And with Junior having signed a huge record deal with Columbia Records, and proud dad Pete helping to guide his son as he follows in his footsteps, it’s going to be very different series to his last one.

His previous hit reality series launched in 2009 on ITV2 with nearly two million viewers a week and was a huge success.

More on Peter Andre

It continued for ten series’ before Pete took the decision quit in 2013 following the tragic death of his brother Andrew, 54, from kidney cancer.

Pete said: “Over the years I’ve constantly been asked if I’d ever bring it back and the answer has always been no.

"But it’s about doing it slightly differently and the kids are older now. Princess is about to do her GCSEs and Junior is starting out in the music industry.

“So we’ll be able to show the two very different sides of teenage life. Emily's career is evolving too.

"Then there’s the whole music management side of things because it’s my team looking after him.

“It’s a really exciting time for Junior and I can't wait for everyone to see how hard he's been working on his music.

"We were at his video shoot the other day, when this young girl ran straight past me, went up to Junior, and said, please, please can I get a picture with you?

“She couldn’t believe it when she saw him. She gave me her phone and said can you take a picture of me and Junior?

“So of course I did. Now that was a great moment, sharing something like that with my son and seeing the buzz that he’s causing already.

“I’ve had a few people ask me if we’re planning on doing a father and son duet but I want the focus to be on him.

“I’m writing a couple of songs for a movie soundtrack, have some more TV presenting coming up and am in Grease on the West End stage, which has been a dream come true for me.”

Pete's wife Emily has been careful to keep their two kids, Amelia, eight, and Theo, five, out of the public eye.

Pete added: “From the beginning Emily always said no. She wanted to keep their childhood private.

"But if Amelia gets to an age, when she’s 13 or 14, and wants to start doing stuff then we will discuss it. Theo is still so young. He doesn’t really get it. When he came to see me in Grease, he was like why is everyone saying Peter? It was so sweet.”

Pete was speaking at a special event in London where he launched the ‘BBQ Beyond’ campaign  and hosted summer barbecue using products from plant-based powerhouse Beyond Meat.

He said: “It is the future of food. I always thought that it really would be something when it happened, it’s about getting the taste and texture right.

“The other day I was doing a barbecue at home and gave Emily a burger from the Beyond Meat range. Now she is a very smart, highly intellectual woman and she could not tell the difference.

"She couldn’t believe it.”

Health obsessed Peter says that the family now eat plant based foods three days a week.

He said: "I think more and more people are starting to realise that there are so many incredible flavours out there without having to eat animal meat. Now, I love animal meat but I also love plant-based foods.

"I work out generally five times a week. There are weeks here and there where I'm a bit slack but generally it's five times a week.

"And I eat what I want but I balance it out, which is what it is all about.

“Burgers or sausages? I’m an Aussie so it’s always going to be all about the burgers for me.”

We now make sure we eat plant-based meat at least three times a week.

"I’m a flexitarian it’s about having the balance.

“Burgers or sausages? I’m an Aussie so it’s always going to be all about the burgers for me.”
