Viola recital at DSU to feature Linda Ghidossi-DeLuca
Linda Ghidossi-DeLuca will be the soloist in a viola recital Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Dolores Doré Eccles Fine Arts Center at Dixie State University.
Ghidossi-DeLuca is the orchestra director at the Vista Charter School in Ivins as well as an adjunct viola-violin instructor at Dixie State. She is also the part-time principal violist for the Southwest Symphony and performs at Tuacahn Amphitheater as a member of the pit orchestra during their seasonal theater productions.
Joining Ghidossi-DeLuca on piano will be Christian Bohnenstengel, Southern Utah University’s director of keyboard studies; on bass, Robert Matheson, an assistant professor at DSU who also performs in the orchestra at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts; on viola, Jason Sah and Larissa Brown, both of whom are professional musicians; and also on viola, Madison Kropf, an advanced college music student.
They will perform works by Bach, Maris, Dittersdorff, Faure and Brahms.
The concert is free.
