The USC men's basketball program officially reinstated former shooting guard O.J. Mayo, the school announced Wednesday.

Mayo was found to have violated NCAA rules during his lone season with the Trojans in 2007-08 by receiving cash and gifts. Booster Rodney Guillory allegedly received $1,000 from former Trojans head coach Tim Floyd in order to help lure the guard to the program.

After averaging 20.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in his freshman season, Mayo was selected third overall in the 2008 NBA Draft, making him the highest-drafted player to ever come out of the school.

In addition to welcoming Mayo back following his disassociation from the program, the Trojans reinstated star running back Reggie Bush on Wednesday.
