Samsung showcased its brand new I7110 and L870 mobile phones at this year’s Smartphone Show in London, UK.
Based on OS Symbian 9.3 S60 3.2, the Samsung I7110 comes pre-loaded with an enhanced GPS navigation with geo-tagging, pedestrian navigation and driving navigation.
Additionally, the I7110 navigator phone sports a 2.6-inch AMOLED LCD screen, an 8-way optical mouse, FM radio/transmitter with RDS DNSe 2.0, a 5 Megapixel camera with Auto focus and LED flash with smile shot and blink shot functions.
It also has the capability to record and play multi-codec video files. The phone comes with a 50 MB of internal memory which is expandable to upto 16 GB using microSD memory.
The I7110 supports various video files formats such as DivX / H.263 / H.264 / WMV / MP4 / RV and MP3/ AAC / AAC+ / eAAC+ / WMA and RealAudio audio formats.
Besides, the Samsung I7110 offers seamless connectivity with HSDPA and Wi-Fi that ensure quick internet surfing, Bluetooth v2.0 and USB v2.0.
The Samsung L870 phone comes housed in a 13.5 mm stainless steel body. The HSDPA compliant handset incorporates a 2.4-inch QVGA 16M Color TFT screen, a 3 megapixel camera, Music Player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, RA, AMR and WMA file formats, video player that is compatible with H.263 + AMR, MPEG4, Real One and WMV. It also employs a FM Radio (RDS), Bluetooth v.2.0 EDR and USB 2.0 along with an onboard memory of 100MB internal memory and an expandable memory of up to 4GB.
Powered by Symbian S60, the Samsung L870 sports a high speed internet browser, Samsung’s advanced task manager Checkit, PIMs (Personal information manager) homescreen, Team manager and business card recognition function.
The slider phone also comes pre-installed with Thematic UI, Quick Office document viewer and Push Email functions.
The pricing and availability of the Samsung I7110 and L870 smartpones are yet to be announced.
