I'm sorry, Richard, I only photographed that one.  By and large, I could do without seeing more Trym seedlings that look like other Trym seedlings but to my eyes 'Lime Trym' really stood out from the crowd.
Lime Trym does look very good Alan and agree that there are a lot of seedling Tryms out there.

Today's morning patrol was an Andy Byfield themed walk!

First up is Galanthus Twister a hybrid between Galanthus elwesii and G. gracilis. Andy described Twister as having: "twisting upright dark blue green foliage" and he was not wrong. The leaves are delightfully twisted and reminiscent of H.R. Geiger, often twisting into a bow-like pattern! The flower is a brilliant white and has lovely markings and Twister bulks well. I know Andy is planning to make this available in the near future.

Next Galanthus Northern Lights, described as "a hybrid - perhaps G. nivalis x byzantinus, with a bit of gracilis thrown in". Whatever its antecedents, it is an incredibly lovely snowdrop, with an utterly stunning grey/green wash on the outers. I grow it close to Morgana and its colour makes it a very distinctive virescent which stands apart from the others.

Both varieties are bulking well and delivering plenty of offsets.

2 degrees C in the garden at 12 noon, grey and still, a few snowflakes. The snowdrops love this temperature - it keeps them in a state of suspended animation. They glow in the dim light. They look terrific.

No Maggs, a few clumps are through but slow, both in the garden and the bunkers. It has been a very strange year.

It is a very odd year, yes!  (Do we say that every year?) We've got snow today.

Chas, your drops are looking lovely - even without sun to open them they are charming.

Hard not to be tempted when there are offerings from respectable sellers like Hagen.
