Object Details
- Collector
- Frederick G. Meyer
- Specimen made from cultivated plant from Botanical Garden of Ajuda, Lisbon [but apparently cultivated in USDA greenhouses, USA; P.I. 241924]. Specimen cited as "type". Title refers to a "new form" of the species but describes it as a cultivar. No Latin diagnosis or description, so cannot be considered a validly published forma; cultivar is not a rank in botanical nomenclature, and do not have types. Specimen can only be considered a voucher for the cultivar name. Note also that the latinized name ("Corymbifera") cannot be used as cultivar name under the rules of the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants.
