Paris Hilton and Carter Reum have joined the “two under two” camp with the arrival of a baby girl!
While the rest of us in the States were busy sleeping off our Thanksgiving food comas, Paris Hilton was taking to Instagram to list the things she’s thankful for, as one does. “I’m so grateful for this beautiful life,” she wrote in the caption of a carousel of candid photos beginning with a sweet shot of herself and baby Phoenix, born via surrogate to Hilton and husband Carter Reum in January. “This year has brought so many amazing blessings, the most incredible being becoming a mom. I am truly so thankful to be surrounded by such an incredible family, supportive friends, and a loving husband.” Aww! We love those things for you, Paris — and yes, definitely a ton to be thankful for.
But then just a few hours later, she posted a picture of a pink baby outfit on a pink blanket, with a pair of pink heart-shaped sunglasses and a pink-accented stuffie (we’re sensing a theme). Pink script on the front of the outfit read London and the caption simply said, “Thankful for my baby girl.”
Insert record scratch here. What?!
The casual drop of this baby bombshell was surprising news, but it probably shouldn’t have been, considering that Hilton and Reum kept news of their son Phoenix’s arrival mum to everyone — even their own extended families — for a full 48 hours after his birth. She told Harper’s Bazaar that they had even dismissed the regular house staff, saying they were having the house painted. “My entire life has been so public,” Hilton told the outlet. “I’ve never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves.” In a confessional video (filmed in her closet!) that aired on the star’s reality show, Paris in Love, she said, “No one in this house knows. None of the people who work at my media company know. My friends don’t know. My own family doesn’t know.”
No word on whether they did the same for their daughter’s arrival, but though her Instagram post left fans wondering whether baby London was already here or just on her way, Hilton seemed to clarify in a TikTok comment that she’s already a mom of two. “My princess has arrived!” she wrote in response to a fan (see the screenshot here). And in a sweetly intimate TikTok filmed in a dim room, she asks baby Phoenix, “Are you the big brother today? Are you the big brother now? You gonna watch after your sister?”
While the big announcement of Paris Hilton’s baby girl may have come as a surprise, her name — London — does not. Back in January, Hilton said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her future daughter’s name would be London Marilyn Hilton Reum. “Marilyn after my grandmother,” she clarified at the time, “and London because it’s my favorite city and I think Paris and London sound cute together.”
Just last week at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, Hilton told reporters she’s “obsessed” with son Phoenix and “can’t wait to have another baby.” Little did we know that wait wasn’t going to be very long!
We’re excited to hear the details behind baby London’s arrival (and whether Hilton and Reum stuck with their original middle name choice). And we hope she’s as generous with sharing adorable photos and videos of baby London as she is with Phoenix — because there’s nothing better than seeing Paris Hilton as a mom, unless it’s seeing Paris Hilton as a mom of two!
