Description

A lovely clone with good-sized, dumpy yet well-proportioned flowers in which the inner segments are all-green from top to bottom, forming a green tube with a very shallow “waisting” in the middle of the green (think of a green corset!). This solid, green tube contrasts superbly well with the pure white outer petals. The foliage is beautifully glaucous.

Raised by James Allen of Shepton Mallet this is thought to be a cross of plicatus with nivalis. This gained the prestigious RHS Award of Merit in 1971.
