Description
This is a lovely version, of the normally purple-pink plant, with white flowers. The white is actually tempered with just the faintest of green chequering and an emerald infusion at the stem end of the flower.
This true breeding form has now been scarce for a few years, after a warehouse fire in Holland, destroyed much of the crop after it had been lifted and stored. The resulting shortage has taken some years to restore but it seems to be available again, at last, as this is a very nice plant.
Growth is as for the typical plant in a well drained, fertile soil, if this can be seasonally moist or even wet, in spring, then so much the better but this is not essential.
