Description
Two or three short leaves in spring, along with the clustered blooms. Flower colour in this new offering is usually white, although one or two have shown a hint of pink. Their shape varies from star- to cup-shaped, but all show the larger size found in the other white clones. The almost black anthers make for an unusual appearance. The flowers open in succession, prolonging the floral display. Both the flowers and the foliage are quite small, this isn’t one of the big blousy species.
A miniature, very hardy, snow-melt plant, good for pot cultivation or it can be grown a sunny, well-drained, garden spot and it has made some spectacular displays here. Bulbs raised from seed from our best parents.
