Description
Translucent brown stems hold brown, toffee-striped spathes marked with white stripes well clear of the ground. Its unusual colouring makes this species very eye-catching, even to non-enthusiasts.
It loves light or dappled shade in the garden where it both flowers and increases well. Its polygonal tubers make offsets at their apices.
These tubers are raised from seed from the usually cultivated material from the Indian Himalayas (March 2021).
