Description

The only truly yellow hardy Arisaema*. This is a small-flowered species but it grows well and has a pleasant fragrance to balance the equation.

The blade is bright yellow with an imperial purple zone decorating the throat. This form makes slightly larger, more richly coloured spathes than the ‘old’ form. Nice cultivated (not imported) flowering sized tubers.

For garden cultivation, in almost any soil, but ideally in a humus-rich, well drained one in sun or light shade. Lime or acid soils are equally suitable

* it has been pointed out to us by a friend that the gorgeous, fragrant A.maxwelli has yellow forms, but that is a tropical species.
