Back in July, Nashville-based singer-songwriter TONYB. released his debut mixtape “Flashing Lights”.
He created soulful R&B dripping with 90's and early 2000's influence.
TONYB. said on social media, “These past 3 years have been such an up and down ride coming into adulthood and all of these records mean so much to me. It feels like a closing of a chapter to combine it all and have it in one place now. Big love to everyone who contributed big or small to this first mixtape of mine.”
Following the mixtape, he released a new song “You Knew What This Was” on October 9th. The music video for the song was directed by Tyler Winther.
Written from the songwriter's own personal experiences, the track narrates when things get complicated somewhere between a friendship and relationship, but you both willingly dive into it.
