Apevia X-QPack 2 Aluminum Case

   -
Price: $96.99

Introduction:

SSHH! Now if you promise not to tell, I’ll let you in on a secret. Like any enthusiast, when we build or upgrade our systems, either our wives or girlfriends get the hand-me-downs. Even though we feel that we are being generous, they still consider it a second hand product. It doesn’t matter that the case, video card or processor you gave her was once the best on the market, it’s still a hand-me-down. Well I found a solution to the problem. Apevia (formally Aspire) is producing a compact case called the X-QPack 2 and it comes in an assortment of different colors. Including pink. So what I did was, I got the pretty pink case, just for her. Now since she has something that she can relate to and it is hers, I could basically replace any component and not have to deal with the "all you give me are hand-me-downs" effect.

"Apevia Corporation is the new name for Aspire International Corporation which was established in March 1999. Due to lots of confusions between Aspire cases, Acer's Aspire Notebook systems and Aspire Credit Cards, it was decided to change the name to Apevia Corporation in June 2006. With the strategy of standing behind its customers to ensure their total satisfaction, Apevia has been working closely with its customers and focusing on providing innovative quality PC products and services to keep up with the fast changing market. Today, Apevia is one of industry leaders for PC chassis."

Closer Look:

I guess I left the garage door open the day the case was delivered, as the UPS driver placed it on top of the washing machine, so it was the first thing I saw when I walked out of the garage door. My first impression was "wow, this is small". Then I picked it up expecting something a little heavier and almost flung the case right out of my hand. The case and packaging was a total of ten pounds. Nonetheless, the packaging did catch my eye. The two broad sides of the package have pictures of people enjoying the concept of the case and the bottom right hand corner actually shows that the case can be transported easily by its handle.

On the narrow sides of the package, you will find the the features of what is inside and the opposite side contains pictures of the different colors the case comes in. Of course, this one is Pink.
