Dendrobium aphyllum (also called D. pierardii) is native to South-Eastern Asia and many of the islands stretching east towards New Guinea. It's a deciduous species that requires a dry winter rest without fertilizer to stimulate blooming. Typically we reduce water and feed from November until they flower which can be between December and March often.
Current plants have been freshly potted into 6" baskets and it is best to let the growths hang pendulous over the edges.
