Common Name The Long Spurred Angraecum

Flower Size 3" [7.5 cm] x 18" [45 cm] long!

Found in Madagascar in gallery forests at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a large sized, cool growing lithophyte in xerophytic vegetation with a robust stem carrying several, strap-shaped, glossy, fleshy, unevenly bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, straight to 40" [100 cm] long, 8 to 12 flowered inflorescence and carrying long-lasting, spicily fragrant flowers.

Synonyms Angraecum eburneum var. longicalcar Bosser 1965

Similar to A eburneum and A superbum but differs in the elongate spur to 16" [40 cm] and the shape of the lip.
