Dendrochilum latifolium var macranthum is from the Philippines. In the wild this species grows as an epiphyte in hill and montane cloud forests at elevations between 300-1,600 metres. Inflorescences measure 20-60cm, bear many flowers that measure about 1.8-2cm across. Plants usually blooms during the summer.

These are flowering size plants growing in pots. Grow Dendrochilum latifolium var macranthum on a mount, in a pot or basket with a sphagnum moss media mixed with bark or perlite, with bright light, never in direct sunlight and give it a lot of water. We grow our plants sitting in a small amount of water. Plants grow well in an intermediate greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 15-24 degrees and day temperatures of 24 to 32 degrees. This species likes a distinct difference between day and night temperature and cool misty air.
