I would give a higher rating if not for the awful cigar smoke smell in the hallways. The rest of our stay was wonderful.

Beautiful facility, huge warm pool, great service. The Chop House restaurant was spectacular for dinner. Strongly recommend this resort for a couples weekend.
Avalon Inn was always considered to be a more upscale hotel when I was growing up in the area. I returned to the area for the weekend after 20+ years and booked based on my experience. I was not disappointed! The hotel and staff were terrific, and overall service was excellent. The recently updated facilities are nicely done. We will stay again when we return to the area.
Didn't know what to expect and was amazed at this resort in the middle of nowhere. Very classy.
Paid extra on Orbitz for a king size room and they gave me a room with 2 full beds. Asked them about getting the king and said they couldn't guarantee it since we booked 3rd party. They also couldn't refund the difference either
The entrance was beautiful and the greeter was very warm and friendly. The health club/workout area was second to none, and the pool area was top notch with a lifeguard even. I joined in on the Spin class the first evening and got a good workout with 4 others the day before Thanksgiving. The continental breakfast was adequate, with a bit more attention needed to accommodate the guests with items that were running low or out. We enjoyed it very much, though there was a wait on occasion. The rain kept us from enjoying the walking trail, but we would stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.
I can't say enough about this place. Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgable.
Rooms are very nice. Good bed, Great workout facility and pool. Bar was nice with good food. Friendly people working there.
We had a 1 night stay, our room keys dis not work at first and the door to the bathroom was rusted out almost looking like dried up blood but everything else was fantastic.

My boyfriend and I checked in at 2:15am from driving 7 hours from NY. The guy at the desk had a little attitude but wasn't a huge deal. The room was great. Super clean and to my surprise even had a small refrigerator with complimentary water. The gym is amazing. The best part of it besides the huge pool. Pictures are true to what you'll get and I would highly recommend it to friends and family. Another small downfall is the breakfast isn't that healthy and the eggs were slightly salty. Thankfully we did grocery shop at the target nearby. No big deal. Overall loved it!!
Went to attend an local event. Large awesome, comfy bed. Great pool Beautiful grounds. Separate area off the bathroom to do your hair and makeup with great lighting. Professional staff.
