Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form An epiphytic orchid, it can grow up to 60cm in height. 
Foliage The singular leaves are borne on crowded ovoid to oblong pseudobulbs. 
Flowers The flowers which measure about 11 to 15mm wide are borne on a many flowered, arching inflorescence. The inflorescence orginates from a young shoot. The flower sepals and petals are brown with a yellow base while the flower lip is orange. 
Habitat It can be found growing in forests on trees from 300 to 2250m in altitude.
