Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Robust sprawling climber often forming a dense cover over branches or the substrate to which it is attached
Foliage Leaves elliptical with revolute margins, pubescent below.
Flowers Flowers 2-3.5cm across; corolla lobes white, cream, pale yellow or light - dark purple; occasionally white or cream with purple spots.  Corona for purple flowered form white or cream, tinged with purple towards the center; otherwise white - pale yellow for other flower color forms.
Habitat On limestone hills and cliffs, quartz ridges, mangroves and occasionally along rivers.
Cultivation Like most Hoyas classified under the section Eriostemma, this species is also a shy bloomer and may need to reach a considerable size or spread before it starts blooming.
