Keeley Hazell's Follower Count Increases After Shading Olivia Wilde

The latest chapter in the Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis relationship drama has just dropped courtesy of his ex-girlfriend.

The Don't Worry Darling director, 38, and the Ted Lasso star, 47, split in November 2020 after nine years together.

Their love lives have made headlines ever since, as Wilde moved on with pop star Harry Styles and Sudeikis briefly dating his Ted Lasso co-star Keeley Hazell.

The 36-year-old works as a writer on Ted Lasso and also appears on the Apple TV+ series as Bex, the second wife of the philandering Rupert Mannion. She first met Sudeikis on the set of Horrible Bosses 2 and the pair briefly dated after his split from Wilde.

The latest chapter in the former power couple's relationship saga has seen Hazell get a boost to her Instagram followers after throwing shade at Wilde on Instagram.

Following in Wilde's footsteps, Hazell on Thursday posted some passages from Nora Ephron's 1983 autobiographical novel Heartburn.

It comes just a day after Wilde posted an excerpt from the late writer's autobiographical novel, which included directions for how to make a "very strong" vinaigrette.

This was seemingly in response to a Daily Mail report featuring their former nanny, who claimed Wilde prepared a salad with her "special" dressing for Styles while she was still living with Sudeikis.

According to the nanny, Sudeikis got so upset that Wilde made the salad at the family home that he "went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn't leave," and tried to stop her driving the food to the "Fine Lines" singer.

After Wilde shared her excerpt, Hazell also posted some pages from the acclaimed novel.

The actress, however, shared some different pages to Wilde and seemingly threw shade at the Booksmart director with a series of underlined sentences.

"Vera said: 'Why do you feel the need to turn everything into a story?'" the first underlined passage read.

It continued on the next page: "So I told her why: Because if I tell the story, I control the version.

"Because if I tell the story, I can make you laugh, and I would rather have you laugh at me than feel sorry for me. Because if I tell the story, it doesn't hurt as much. Because if I tell the story, I can get on with it."

These posts helped Hazell get 334 new Instagram followers on October 20, after averaging about 26 new followers every day for the week before, according to social media statistics website Social Blade.

Newsweek reached out to Keeley Hazell for comment.

Wilde and Sudeikis, who share son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, issued a rare joint statement after their nanny spoke to the Daily Mail for the now deleted story.

"As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly," the actors said in the statement, obtained by Newsweek.

"Her now 18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone."

The couple started dating in 2011, before getting engaged in 2013 but never marrying before their eventual split in 2020.

Ephron's novel, Heartburn, is a fictional portrayal of her marriage and split from investigative reporter, Carl Bernstein.

He is best known for exposing the Watergate scandal, which saw President Richard Nixon's 1974 resignation.

Ephron died in 2012 age of 71 of pneumonia after battling acute myeloid leukemia.
